A fantastic movie for anyone who loves theater, film, acting - or was in the high school drama club

My quick one-line review: Stop and watch this film now! To expand: This is required viewing for anyone who was in a school play, loves Shakespeare, or just likes a good film. It took me back to the craziness of the high school drama club. It's so much fun to watch. Let's start with the fantastic acting. Broadway stars, young newcomers - it's a perfect cast. The writing is also very good with a story that keeps you engaged and entertained. What I really like about this film is that it touches on so many subjects without spreading itself too thin. Honestly, it was a lovely 90 minutes of watching a film that I could watch again and again.

A fun glimpse into a dysfunction world of high school theater
Dolphen20 May 2016
A far out ride through the Shakespearean production of a high school play. A good cast of characters feel their way through often farcical circumstances. I did plays in high school and we were often an 'odd-lot' to say the least. This production takes that to a whole new level... Shakespeare is an often over-used theme in the film world, however this is a completely different take in my opinion. I'd be interested to know what the budget was. Gives hope to small budget film makers. If you're a fan of off-beat productions that exist outside the big studio world then you will probably enjoy this as much as I did. This film appeals to a broad audience of adults and teens. Great performances by Anthony Rapp, Cheyenne Jackson and Mitch Jarvis and several new actors that we will see more of!

An absolutely must see film!

This movie is absolutely one of my favorites! It has everything you could ever want. The story was meaningful and incredibly easy to relate to. Anyone who has ever performed on a stage, no matter the size will certainly spend this movie reminiscing on the good ol' days. Not only will you feel connected, but you'll be laughing so hard your sides hurt. Anthony Rapp and Cheyenne Jackson are a match made in comedy heaven. They're quibbles and comments had my cheeks ready to burst. Mitchell Jarvis performance was utter comedic beauty. Who knew Shakespeare could be so hysterical?! The creators of this movie truly gave Shakespeare and life in the theatre a justified, dramatic and down right witty tribute. I'll be looking for more movies to come from this extremely talented bunch!
