With a budget a notch above cable access, K-Stars TV station in Starwood, Indiana, struggles to produce local programming with inept talent, inexperienced production crew, and limited resources. The most popular show on K-Stars is the daily news program anchored by Roberta Barrington and Bob Haverford, two issue filled anchors who fumble their way through the daily news cast. Roberta, a former beauty queen and big-city news anchor, suffered a fall from grace and subsequent exile to Starwood. She desires nothing more in life than to regain her former glory days. In her way: Bob Haverford. Misogynistic, drunk and morally deficient. Bob's truly a big fish in a small pond whose local celebrity is fading rapidly.
