- Taffer makes two bars out of one in an attempt to save both a beachfront bar in Warwick, Rhode Island, and the owner's marriage.
- Jon Taffer tries to save Marley's on the Beach, a failing beach bar located on the shores of Warwick, Rhode Island, owned by husband and wife team, Kevin and Michelle, whom their marriage is on the verge of falling apart for good.
As Jon Taffer does his recon, he notices more than 200 people not being served their drinks and food, due to the slow service.
As Jon Taffer enters Marley's on the Beach, a 7,500 square foot space, he meets with Michelle and Kevin, and Jon Taffer was appalled by the fact Michelle's husband, Kevin was not helping her, and stands there doing nothing.
When Jon Taffer notices the food was at a dangerous temperature, Diana, the cook, walks out and drives away, because she didn't like to be yelled at.
Jon Taffer comes back the next day, to only find out Diana is back after last night's argument, and Jon told her that she forfeited her job, and should not come back to work. But Diana defends herself, and Jon Taffer asks Michelle if Diana stays or not, in which Michelle gave Diana a second chance for only a day just to prove herself.
However, as Jon Taffer looks more deeper into Kevin and Michelle's marriage, Michelle says that Kevin lost interest in the business, and that she tells she loves Kevin, but she won't work with him in the business as a result. Michelle tells Jon Taffer that Kevin will officially be a silent partner, to which Kevin disagrees, but when Jon Taffer tells them about his first marriage, Kevin quickly changes his mind to prevent him and Michelle from getting a divorce.
During the stress test, Jon notices that no one at the patio was being served, and that 12 people had already left because there was no service at the patio, in which Jon Taffer says that no one was minding the store, and it was a disaster already. Jon Taffer notices the bartenders that were holding up drinks, in which one of the bartenders spill one of the drinks from the mixer, to which he exclaims it was a classic cluster****. Jon Taffer also notices that their was no music system to keep in a younger audience, and as a result the younger audience was displeased about having no music. In the kitchen, Diana proved that she could work in the busiest conditions, while Elese, the assistant manager, did absolutely nothing about it.
After the stress test, Jon Taffer makes Michelle fire Elese as a result of her inexperience and aggressiveness against Diana. Michelle tears up after making that decision as a result.
The following morning, Jon Taffer's team takes down the Marley's on the Beach banner, because he said that it had a bad reputation among the Warwick community. However, Michelle tells Jon Taffer that Elese never got a chance to prove herself, but Jon Taffer says that if she brought Elese back, the bar would fail again like last night's stress test. Michelle had no choice but to follow Jon Taffer's decision.
The bartenders are trained new drinks in the process, and the cooks are also trained new food items during the retraining of the staff. After the staff was retrained, Jon Taffer's team walks in and remodels the exterior and interior of the building.
The next following morning, Jon Taffer was ready to unveil the new bar, with Kevin and Michelle and their staff. As the owners and staff turned, they notice the bar was renamed to the bar's owner, Michelle, in which the new name was St. Michelle's Beach Club. Michelle states that the name was a lot to live up to.
As the owners and staff enter, they were surprised to see that they now have a DJ booth and a dance floor for the younger crowd. The patio was also remodeled to have the people wanting to see the seaside whilst eating their food.
The relaunch of the former Marley's on the Beach was a great success, and Jon Taffer leaves St. Michelle's Beach Club after saying goodbye to Michelle.
