A ten year old boy named Ernest is told by his father to find the "magic moment" in his life. That one perfect moment when time stands still and the heart skips a beat. A moment that he can lock in his mind and forever go back to when times get tough. That ten year old boy is now seventy. And he feels like he never found his moment. To complicate matters Ernest is diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. This revelation sends him sinking into his past where he must confront the defining times of his life. The times where he was so close to capturing that elusive "magic moment" his Dad told him about one day at the beach when he was a boy. Quicksand Years is a story of how memories are passed from generation to generation. From father to son. And how, at the end of the day, one man is able to reconcile all of it and leave a legacy for his family.
