This episode is all about Amerath after her break-up with Alethrion. The Ruden are introduced as bird-like demigods that protect the gods from danger. The Ruden knows of Alethrion's Greed and tries to convince Amerath to help stop it. She declines but helps him recover after he injured his arm and they travel across the land. Amerath inherits a Ruden's power to See in this episode and knows what will happen when Alethrion's bottomless chest opens.

After "The Reward", Vito and Wilhelm have become epic adventurers with an ocean of quests to look back at. One of them unfortunately ended with Wilhelm becoming a vampire.
