My husband and I love western tales and looked forward to this new program. Only 30 minutes with half the time going to commercials doesn't get it! You will certainly lose my husband's interest and we will miss not getting to watch this together. Young people today are missing out on great frontier adventure that is such a part of American history. These stories have a chance to be impactful if you would go into more detail. True stories are always the best! Please consider lenghthening these episodes to hold everyone's attention. We were dismayed with the first episode being only 30 minutes! I will be looking forward to next week's program and hoping to see them longer in the future.

Thank God there is no soft porn in this! Too much of it these days!
Also, very well acted and written.
Would love to see more of this series and any of this genre of true stories made in a wholesome way for everyone.
I'm in disbelief that anyone would consider this less than amazing!
Citing many famous stories, pioneers, lawmen and survival scenarios of the settling of the western territories is inspirational to you g people to get out in the woods, be careful and to appreciate how good they have it in comparison to how hard even children used to have it just to survive and live free.
Thirty minutes or longer, I don't care. Just please, make more.

I was hopeful when I saw the Title. I watched the first episode & it was so bad it was laughable. It was painful to even get through the entire episode. The acting is community theatre level & the writing is just awful. I give them props for filming in Montana but that's where it ends. I don't know how the hand full of people who reviewed this could give it more than a fee stars. I am not exaggerating at how poorly this is written and acted. You can skip this one for sure. The first episode spends a long time about looking for water in a desert area and it was just plain boring. This is simply so bad it is almost laughable.

Keeping in mind "The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger" is an original production from INSP TV (formerly The Inspiration Network) and its target audience is probably conservatives with young families, it is good, clean, fun, family entertainment.
Stories of a real American hero known for his telling of tall tales and little bit of American frontier history. It's not high-tech, it's not lavishly produced, it's not shocking or controversial, it doesn't have elaborately choreographed fight scenes with blood and gore. It does have interesting characters that teach us a few life lessons on how to treat people, entertaining "tall tales" told around camp by Jim Bridger that end up like believable fables.
The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger reminds me of tv shows we watched on Sunday evening when I was a kid, when "The Wonderful World of Disney" was still wonderful and innocent.

If anything is incredible with The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger, it's that it is rated on average 8,1 at IMDb, so far. Jim Bridger was a real person, one of the legendary mountain men, and a man who probably should deserve something better than this to describe his legacy. Nearly everything is poor, amateurish and it lacks credibilty. Blind western lovers may like this, but if you care for gripping story telling combined with quality cinematography, find something else. This tale is just another of too many modern westerns that at best can be described as a wannabe. It's not absolutely rock bottom, but it still hits the ground hard.
