- Opens with Harvey crashing Huntley and Donna's date to complain about him leading Cameron right to Colonel Moriga. He threatens that if Huntley gets near his case again he'll kick his ass. Donna catches the end of this.
Harvey assigns Mike to do what he can to take apart Moriga. Jessica walks in, furious that Cameron now has Moriga. She blames Harvey for letting Huntley screw up the case. She's on the case now and insists they no longer keep Darby and Huntley in the loop.
Mike, finding that Moriga has a history of lying, has prepared a list of questions to ask him and asks Harvey about the wisdom behind telling Jessica he had a deal with Darby. Harvey says he needed to trust her.
Nigel returns a week early and asks Louis for his cat, Mikado. Louis has Rachel whisk the cat into the library and says he's planning to keep the cat. Nigel walks in and demands his pet back. Louis start talking about legal rationale for him keeping the cat the full two weeks. Nigel leaves for a meeting but says that afterwards he wants his cat back. Rachel tells Louis he needs to let the cat go.
Harvey tells Donna what Huntley did to screw up his case.
Harvey, Jessica and Mike question Moriga with Cameron present. Moriga tells them that he spoke with Ava on the phone prior to their meeting. During this conversation (which Ava didn't mention) they discussed payment for the removal of the six people who were murdered.
While running the copy machine, Donna warns Huntley that he needs to stay out of Harvey's hair.
Ava admits to Harvey that she spoke to Moriga on the phone but they never discussed murder. It was a "social nicety" she had forgotten. Her protégé Nick arranged everything. Jessica gets harsh with Ava then leaves the room. A new defense strategy must be formulated.
Louis and Nigel argue over the cat. Louis brings Nigel a suit for ownership of the cat because he provides a better home. They agree to a mock trial in front of the associates.
Jessica tells the guys she wants to go after Nick Howell. Harvey doesn't like the idea, because it will be impossible to convince anybody that a No. 1 wouldn't know what a No. 2 was doing. Jessica states she very well knows otherwise, and the parallel to Jessica and Harvey's relationship is obvious.
Louis asks Rachel to be his representative in the mock trial. She agrees after he tells her that the cat was the best thing to happen to him during a tough year.
Outside, Mike confronts Jessica. He wonders if they're putting an innocent person in the crosshairs because she's pissed at Harvey. She tells him he should find out what Cameron has on Nick that made him turn on Ava.
Mike visits Cameron. He yells at Cameron and knocks a folder out of his hand. Mike is immediately apologetic and begins picking up the papers while Cameron yells at him. As he picks up each paper, he commits what he sees to memory.
The mock trial begins with Louis on the stand. He talks about receiving the cat in poor emotional condition.
Jessica calls Darby. She wants him to call Huntley back to London. He responds that Hartley is his version of Harvey and he'll be there until the case is won. Darby thinks Harvey's plan all along was to turn her against him and therefore against the merger.
Nigel cross-examines Louis. He starts to challenge Louis characterizing himself as a kindhearted parent-type. The two argue about their philosophical differences regarding the associates. He then announces a surprise witness: Harold Gunderson. Rachel immediately asks for a recess.
Rachel tells Mike what's happening with Harold. He has no help for her since Harold never said a good thing about Louis.
Mike shows Harvey what he got from Cameron's files. There is enough there to convince anybody Nick is actually guilty.
Nigel questions Harold. He speaks at length to Louis' cruelty and the fact he occasionally left his own cat in the care of Harold, who is allergic and doesn't care for the animals.
Harvey questions Nick with Ava present. They challenge him with their new evidence, which is a bank account he opened just before the murders. Nick tells them the money did not come from Moriga but rather as bonuses from Ava. He says Ava knew everything he did and threatens that no jury will ever believe he acted alone.
Rachel questions Harold on cross. She points out that Louis covered for Harold's many mistakes and that Harold ultimately landed with a good firm because of Louis' mentorship. She also asks him whether he thinks Louis loved his cat. Harold says that he did.
Donna confronts Huntley with information she's discovered in the copy room. It is a copy of Moriga's deposition. She's furious that he lied to her and tells him their relationship is over.
Donna tells Mike that Huntley got Moriga's deposition.
Realizing the case is lost, Nigel comes to Louis with a deal. In exchange for keeping his cat, he will restore Louis' control of the associates. Louis initially says no, but Rachel asks for a minute with her "client." She reminds him that the cat belongs to Nigel.
Jessica admits Harvey was right in that nobody will believe Ava didn't know what Nick was doing. They talk about their own situation and she asks why he told her about his deal with Darby. He admits that her being opposed to the merger crossed his mind, but he's mostly concerned with not keeping secrets from her.
Louis agrees with Rachel's assessment of his situation. Before she can bring the cat back to Nigel, he shows her an acceptance letter to Columbia law school he spotted on the mail cart. She tearfully hugs him.
Mike tells Donna that Huntley was the one who ordered the murders. He then shows her, Harvey and Jessica that Huntley and Moriga are old rugby pals. Darby sent Huntley in to fix Ava's problem. Huntley made the call from his London office and neither Ava nor Nick were aware. Darby then sent Huntley to make sure nobody figured out his role.
Harvey walks to the bathroom and finds Huntley. He punches him the face and the two fight. Harvey gets the better of things and walks out as the episode ends.
