Anecdotes
The "Mans best friend" segment of this episode did not air until 2003 on Spike TV as the unofficial premiere of "The Ren and Stimpy adult party cartoon", it passed with a TV-MA rating. It initially would not air on Nickelodeon or MTV for being too violent.

Autres versions
When the "Big house blues" segment later aired on Nickelodeon in 1992, two scenes were cut. The part when the dogcatcher said "See if I care" as he shook his hips was considered too feminine so it was cut. The other scene that was cut was when Ren as he was sleepwalking unknowingly kissed Stimpy and when he realized, he cleaned his mouth in the toilet.
