A brief journey to Gotham (without its hero)

"Grayson: Earth One" is a 2-part mini-series according to imdb with the first episode being released back in 2013, 5 years ago now, and the second 2 years later. The second episode is called 1.5 on Youtube, so there may be plans for more, but it's been 3 years already, one more than between 1 and 2, and maybe it is not too likedly this gets continued. But that is just speculation. I must say I would not be too sad if it ends with 2 episodes as I found both relatively underwhelming. Maybe the first was still better than the second with the abduction of Commissioner Gordon's daughter. The second was just over the top with suddenly everybody wearing these color masks and it had almost unintentional comedy to it. Thanks to Katie Young, it was still watchable though I guess, her moments were the hoghlight here like the almost car crash in the middle. The title character here did nothing for me almost in both episodes I must say and there is no way he will ever reach Batman's level. Speaking about him, he had a brief cameo, maybe because he is just such an iconic character and not because he really added a whole lot to this film. Nothing actually to be honest. Superhero fan films knew of course that this focuses on a character from Gotham. I made the Robin reference, but not really Nightwing, so if you even knew about this one then good for you. It was okay for a fan-made film all in all, especially the first half like I said, visually fine too I guess, but by general standards it is just a 2 out of 5 because the story department was pretty underwhelming. But maybe the character Grayson is just too difficult for an interesting transition to the screen. This here was not a success. Watch something else instead.
