- Trying to protect her mom gets Hanna in trouble with the cops; Searching for the recipient of Ali's mysterious phone number leads Spencer and Toby to Ravenswood.
- Open with Hanna being questioned about the gun by Tanner. Ashley and Tom arrive to take her home. The gun is being tested to determine if it was used in the shooting.
Hanna tells Emily she faces seven years for destroying evidence. Emily thinks she should tell her parents about A. Shauna walks into the locker room where Emily was talking and says she's transferred to Rosewood. She mentions being in contact with Jenna.
Hanna tells Tom he found he gun in Ashley's luggage.
Aria tells Spencer she needs to apologize to Emily. Emily arrives (late) and fills them in on what is happening with Hanna and Shauna. Aria offers to help Emily with Connor, the new guy working at the coffee shop. Spencer apologizes to Emily. Connor asks Aria if she could help him with an essay.
Tom confronts Ashley about the gun. She says she has no idea how it got in their house, saying she thinks somebody is setting her up. At the same time Hanna glances down at a text message from A: "You bark, I bit. Say my name, they BOTH get the blame."
Mona tells Spencer she needs to talk to her alone. Spencer says she can say what she need to in front of Emily and Aria. Mona says that Toby was the one who moved the RV and that he's been working with Spencer behind their backs. Spencer admits it's true.
Aria and Emily wonder about Spencer and Toby's motives. Hanna calls from her house line and tells them what is going on, along with the threats from A.
Hanna overhears her parents discussing Wilden. Ashley says she took the gun because she was scared. Wilden grabbed the gun out of her hand and she ran. Caleb drops by the house and Tom tells him to leave.
Toby tells Spencer he went back to Radley, spoke to several people and has run out of leads. A is his only chance to find out what happened to his mother. Spencer grabs her phone and calls the sorority.
Mike walks downstairs while Aria and Connor are working on his paper. He acts strange and walks out the door without saying where he's going.
Emily drops by Hanna's with some pretend homework so they two can talk. Emily reminds her the gun that killed Wilden might not belong to her father. Emily wants the dashcam video because it proves Jenna and Shauna were connected and are suspects of some kind. Emily talks her into letting Emily have it so she can turn it in.
On his way out Connor tell Aria he enjoyed spending time with her. He tries to kiss her and she tells him "I'm sorry, I'm not interested like that."
Emily drops by the police station, pretending to leave a flyer for an upcoming open mic night at the coffee shop. She drops the video on Tanner's desk.
Tom tells Ashley he's worried about her. He wants her to admit to self-defense, since that is something people understand. She says she's stressed they haven't heard anything yet and accidentally burns herself on a hot pan.
Spencer tells Emily she thinks Alison might have been calling Grunwald, the housemother. Grunwald used to disappear for long stretches and Spencer wonders if she was using the secret room. Spencer wants them to talk to Grunwald together, but Emily is still upset about Toby and the RV. Emily walks away, then hears violin coming from a room. It's Shauna.
Mike yells at Aria for hooking up with Connor, something he just heard in the locker room. Aria storms into the locker and confronts him. Connor references Ezra and calls her a slut. Ezra walks in and hears the end of the conversation.
Toby goes with Spencer to see Grunwald. In the car he apologizes to her.
Aria is now getting nasty texts. Ezra finds her in an empty hallway and asks her what is going on. She yells at him to stay away from her.
Spencer and Toby pull into the town. Nobody speaks to them and they see someone watching them through a storefront. They quickly leave.
Emily asks Mona what A has on Toby. Mona says only that A has proof of everything they've done.
Spencer and Toby arrive at the address. A weird groundskeeper says "I only deal with the master of the house" and grabs his phone as soon as they leave. The go back into town to get lunch and Spencer spots Grunwald in a salon. Grunwald says she doesn't know Spencer is talking about: "I'm not who you think I am."
Mike goes into Aria's room. He says he messed up and tells her he should have known Connor was full of it. Mike promises to make it up to her.
Hanna tells Tom she thinks everything that has happened is her fault. When Tom says she should have come to her, she responds that based on the conversation he had with Caleb she wasn't sure he wanted her to.
Spencer tells Toby she's convinced Grunwald is lying. Church-like music begins playing through speakers and the town starts walking towards a statue. Everyone stares at the statue blankly. Spencer spots Shauna among the crowd, then sees her get into Jenna's car. Spencer and Spencer get in the car and a dead bird hits their windshield.
At the open mic Spencer arrives and tells Aria and Emily about her trip and seeing Shauna. Tanner walks in and asks Emily if she can come down the station "alone."
Tanner shows Emily a video of someone in a red hood wearing an Emily msk holding up a "guilty" sign. The video Emily put on her desk appears to have been switched.
While Shauna plays violin at the open mic we see somebody smash Connor's car with a baseball bat. He walks out and sees "LIAR" has been spray-painted on the sign.
Ashley is placed under arrest. The gun was a match and Ashley's fingerprints were on the bullets. As she's taken away, Ashley tells Tom to look after Hanna.
