A bit slow in parts
leahcubed27 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Noh Eun-seol (Choi Kang-hee) lands her dream job as a secretary with DN group, under an immature and ineffective Director, Cha Ji-heon (Ji Sung). Eun-seol discovers some of the reasons behind Ji-heon's behavior and works with him to develop the skills and overcome his personal obstacles to show he would be capable of leading. Ji-heon's cousin and long time professional and romantic rival, Cha Mu-won (Kim Jaejoong) hired Eun-seol and becomes a mentor to her. As their friendship evolves he develops feelings for Eun-seol as does Ji-heon. The cousins have a history of liking the same person. Mu-won is the opposite of Ji-heon professionally he is confident, diligent and seems to be the perfect successor. Seo Na-yoon (Wang Ji-hye) is the childhood friend of both Ji-heon and Mu-won and both had past romantic relationships with her. The elders envision either Ji-heon or Mu-Won marrying Na-yoon as she is also from a wealthy background. However, when both heirs turn their romantic attention on Eun-seol things become complicated Eun-sol at first wants no part of this crazy Chaebol heir world. But things change as she cannot help to see the vulnerable sides to these heirs and how their worlds overlap.

I liked this but I didn't love it. There were parts where it felt like the story dragged and I didn't find some things particularly compelling. I did like the character development. The ending is very important to me and this ended well or I would have rated it lower because of the slow parts. There were some decisions that Eun-seol made and things she decided to keep secret that I found a bit frustrating. (spoilers from here) I was really disappointed that Ji-heon's father turned on Eun-seol at one point - I liked it much better when he liked her. I could never quite figure out what the point of having Eun-seol's father involved at random points in the plot had. I liked the way the relationship between Ji-heon and Mu-won evolved as I really liked both of the male central characters and liked that they became more friendly with each other. Na-yoon was a surprise - usually that role is the evil character who is always out to get the main girl - I loved that she became friends with Eun-seol and even Eun-seol's roommate "wrestler girl" - that was just a cute relationship. I wish that Mu-won's mother and Ji-heon's father would have developed into a side romance as I could have seen those two together. I would put it on a watch list but just not as a high priority.

Nice kromdrama show!

Warning: Spoilers
After watching the episodes on YouTube, it made me realise so much how wholesome it is! The story goes is that a girl named No Eun Seol , who experiences hard luck when it comes to employment and that was until she is hired to be her flashy cold hearted yet socially anxious boss, Cha Ji Heon. The amount of things he said to her were ABSOLUTELY nasty and I mean, FairPlay that she kept acting level headed while he was doing this to her. Yes she is known to be a strong character but she did a great job at being professional lol. I liked how the story deepdived on the Ji Heon character like just because you're born into a rich family and become the next successor of the family corporation, it doesn't mean that you're gonna be always confident in yourself. That's what this kdrama did a pretty good job on that part within the ML character development!

The ending was sweet btw with both Eun Seol and Ji Heon getting hitched, that includes Moo Won and Na Yoon (btw both are hotties ngl). Also I really liked the father and grandmothers interactions like the pair of them made me laugh throughout watching the show! This should be not be a masterpiece or that great personally but it's nice to watch if your heartstrings need to be pulled even more x)

Well worth watching--very good writing

Wonderful show!First,I was delighted by how we are given these characters and they proceed to evolve in the following 17 episodes-none of them stay locked in,they change,as people should.Basically this big company is run by Mrs. Song(Grandma),her son Chairman Cha,her daughter Sook-hee Shin, and the two sons Ji-heon Cha(Ji Sung) and Mu-won Cha(Jaejoong-"Hero"). Ji-heon and Mu-won were first rivals in love with Na-yoon Seo,but now are candidates for Chairman Cha's position.Mu-won seems the perfect son,as Ji-heon has some problems. On a whim,Mu-won hires Eun-seol Noh(Choi Kang-hee)to be Ji-heon's personal secretary-she is the pretty, plucky, poor girl.So,Eun-seol begins to help Ji-heon,and a new triangle develops with the two young men and her-much to the stunned amazement of Na-yoon. There are many laugh-out-loud moments in this series,I found. An important tip is,at the end of episode 17-do NOT watch the previews of the next show-there's a huge spoiler image you don't need to see-( a big mistake on their part).DO watch this series-it's VERY good and worth your time.

Must See Drama!

Warning: Spoilers
No Eun-Sol is a confident, tough as nails girl who was raised by her poor father. She struggles to find a good job due to her low ranking University degree. After landing a job with a creep, she unknowingly causes a scandal with a big company. Despite an awkward interview, she lands a job at the big company. Unfortunately, her new boss (Cha Ji-Hun) is involved in the scandal and she has to hide her involvement. Cha Ji-Hun has issues on issues and it is her job to get President Cha's son in shape to take over the company. Meanwhile, Cha Moo-Won the new boss's cousin wants to take over the company because he feels Cha Ji-Hun isn't capable. No Eun-Sol and Cha Moo-Won have an attraction that Cha Ji-Hun just can't stand. These three form a love triangle that gets further complicated when a past love, Seo Na-Yoon, enters the scene. It turns into a truly entertaining plot that has some laugh out loud scenes.

Summary of Characters: No Eun-Sol - played by Choi Gang-Hee. No Eun-Sol is a self-confident tough girl that doesn't intimidate easily. Despite this she is very caring and kind.

Cha Ji-Hun - played by Ji Sung. This poor guy has so many phobias, you just feel sorry for him. His childlike ways should maybe be annoying but Ji Sung makes the character charming and adorable in his own way. You can't help but root for this guy!

Cha Moo-Won - played by Kim Jae-Joong/Jaejoong. Cha Moo-Won is a very capable business man who seems to have everything together. Which is completely opposite from his cousin. Jaejoong also has charm but comes off like an adult.

President Cha - played by Park Yeong-Gyu. President Cha is an overbearing, kind of abusive and strong willed Dad. He really loves his son, and is frustrated that he won't take things seriously. Not understanding that his son has issues that he has been deliberately hiding from his family. Park Yeong-Gyu is awesome, loud but awesome!

Seo Na-Yoon - played by Wang Ji-Hye. I found this character to be super annoying. I wanted to smack the whine out of her! How anyone would find this woman appealing is beyond me. Wang Ji-Hye must be a wonderful actress because I couldn't stand this character.

Definitely a must see to everyone who likes Korean Dramas!
