Mixed feelings

Warning: Spoilers
So, if I got it right, this is not a sequel to Mirciulica, but a story about similar characters happening in a different universe, if I may put it this way. I was looking for a continuation of the story that happened between Mircea and Ioana. I've seen that Ioana Repciuc was available, she's a big part of the Mircea Bravo YouTube channel. I really liked the chemistry between Mircea and Ioana. Nunta pe bani isn't a bad movie, but I can't say I found myself laughing throughout the movie. The premise was good, but the story felt a little rushed. The events didn't really seem credible. Overall, I think Mirciulica is the better movie.

Really good Romanian 🇷🇴 comedy
raulxwu11 February 2024
This is a really good Romanian comedy, I really enjoy it. It was a surprise after the movie "Mirciulica". At the end of the movie you can see that the movie will have a continuation. The grandmother is the best, she is the cherry 🍒 on the top of the cake 🎂, she have an authentic kind of humor that you can find it only in some parts of Romania. She reminds me of my own grandmother. I really home this series will continue, on the same level of humor. The 3 movie it call "Moartea în vacanta", the casting is interesting because they have the best stand up comedy in Romania 🇷🇴. So I hope everyone will enjoy this movie like I did. This is a good evolution in Romania movie industry.

Low quality movie
ionyde20 February 2024
Low quality movie, worse than "Mirciulica". The actors were very tense and robotic, without a bit of life and act. Nothing about comedy. The actors seem to be amateurs. Grandma saved a little the disaster of the bad movie. They should study more cinematographic art, especially the classical one to have authentic models. The subject seems inspired by reality, but very rambling and distorted. The most interesting and pleasant presence was that of Stanca, a great actress, too bad she only had a short scene. I hope that the next movie "Death on Vacation" will be better next year. Anyway, as an attempt and courage, it deserves a little encouragement.

Horrible

There is a series of movies from these guys, there should be a lower bracket of what movies should be allowed to be released to public. This movie should not make the cut,

The story is simple, not necessarily bad, but acting is from horrid to horrible, the lines are drawn by the lead actor, or somebody surely not formed in a screenwriting class, coming from instagram and cultural aspects (which is the form over reality comedy here), are so exaggerated, so over the top, and so much repeated they feel cringing.

So all in all, watching this should lead one to drop the other productions from the same group, but I urge the viewer not to discard the Romanian movies in whole, as there are quite a few gems.

Rating is made up of fans of influencer Mircea Bravo

I remember exactly times in the 90's when all of us in Eastern Europe were fascinated and inspired by Kung-fu movies , stuff of Bruce Lee, Van Damme and Jackie Chan. They were all spectacular but we had no idea they were just dumb entertainment. Story was weak, cheesy, etc. Action and stunts was good though and that is still something.

This is what the new Romanian ''Commercial Cinema'' ,how another influencer called it, dumb but never real and genuine. It is a shame though because the story of this film Wedding for Money was not that bad but badly executed. It does have nice elements in it but not enough to upset the bad acting ,fake action and weak execution. Still it proves once again that if you have the right audience, you can still make money no matter what you give them. It is sad for modern society in Romania but hey, we live in modern times! Cheers.
