A Tubi Christmas

In the video store that is Tubi, you will find shelves that you did not know existed. Way in the back of the store, hidden from most, past the holiday section are movies like this, strange films that seemingly have five minutes of plot and endless scenes of people just talking about nothing that has anything to do with the movie. Anyone can make a movie today and get it online. Should they? I mean, I watch these, so they're for someone. They're for me.

Joan (Dejia McCowan) has what she wants out of life. To be a lawyer. She hasn't seen her father in three years, not since they had a fight, but she's come back in town to surprise him. Well, the joke's on her, because he's dead. Now she learns that the man she wrote off, Sam (Kevin J. Stone), is a lawyer as well. Do they fall in love? Do the holidays become important again? Was this shot on an iPhone?

Directed and written by Nakia T. Hamilton, this gets the secret out of the way minutes in. Everyone already knew the secret. Is it a secret?

I will watch just about any holiday movie and every Tubi movie, so my December is just me watching movies like this and yelling at the screen.

All the aspects of a Tubi Classic in one film!

This film embodies everything about films made for TUBI: Poor editing, bad actors, terrible writing, complete lack of camera composition and awful chemistry. All these elements have culminated into a movie that in theory should belong in the 'So bad it's good' category, however, this movie is missing a certain *je ne sais quoi*. It has been the longest 87 min of my life, seemingly not answering the question "What is the big family secret". The secret was revealed but considering the entire family knew, and this secret was revealed within the first act, I would not consider it something worth being the main catalyst for the movie. The romance was terrible, absolutely no chemistry between the two leads, sometimes portraying the male as creepy and abrasive. Overall don't watch, you can never get that time back.

Although it seems as though that the actual point of the movie is kind of lost within 30 minutes, the movie is really funny and really good. I actually want to see more from these characters, especially the one that was her friend. I feel like the character just needed her friend to come home With her spoiler I guess but if you ever need a holiday movie after you "light one" this is the perfect movie to watch. It's a fun movie and the actress who played the main guy sister was absolutely hilarious and so was the best friend. The actual secret wasn't so secret, but the movie itself has bones, and I would not mind seeing a sequel.
