The Santa Clauses: Season 2 on Disney+ continues with the same cast returning to the show. This season we learn there was a Mad Santa before the current Santa ever existed. The Mad Santa who is played by Eric Stonestreet gets trapped in a Nutcracker for over 700 years till he is released by Kris Kringle, played by Gabriel Iglesias. Kringle runs a Christmas themed ranch till Mad Santa turns things around with his magic. In the meantime, Tim's son is being trained to replace his role as Santa and his daughter learns she has the powers of being a witch. The storyline tries to fit too many facts in six short episodes including that La Befana (Laura San Giacomo) was part of the Legendary group. Overall the story was fun, with plenty of Christmas themed scenes but the acting took a back seat and it felt corny. Not sure if there will be a third season but Santa Claus 4 the movie is in development.
Maybe I'm a bit bah humbug, but...five rubbish episodes and a letdown finale. Seriously, that was it? That's all they got?
It's official, the second season of "The Santa Clauses" is actually worse than "The Santa Clause 3", words I never thought I would ever beed to type.
"Wanga Banga Langa!", (which I'm not sure is even actual English) like the entire series, lost the magic that infused the first two films and, to a slightly lesser degree, the first season of the TV show. The jokes weren't funny, Eric Stonestreet's evil Santa was far too much to take...and it honestly felt like everyone was just there to collect a pay cheque. If you ask me, none of them deserve it.
Let us never speak of this season again.
