Oddly affecting

You can't skip your way through Starvecrow. The narrative twists and turns and every second counts.

The nature of this film means it's going to leave questions unanswered and issues unresolved. It's an assembly of footage found on CCTV and peoples mobile phones.

The clips have been put together to create a linear narrative.

This is inspiring and ground breaking but also confusing at times. I guess this confusion is intentional as the film is part of a Transmedia campaign that will involve the viewer and get the cast and audience all communicating with each other.

Starvecrow challenges tradition in the way its made and it challenges the viewer in the way it tells a story.

It's dark and uncomfortable at times.

This is cutting edge entertainment that blurs fact with fiction.

There's no crew as the cast all film each other. They improvise throughout and they all collaborated on their story lines.

There's so much to this film that's amazing. Highly recommended.

Fantastic debut from James Carver.
