Great plot
dvaibhavsar13 July 2022
Although this is a fiction but based on epic plots and real things. Such as, Hinglaj Temple in Baluchistan and all.

Every Bhavsar should watch this movie.

One of the firsts from Bhaarat (India) in the genre of adventure and fantasy mysteries!
tusharp-6545412 October 2022
Good movie. I was surprised to see such story being made in Bhaarat (India). Just like Indiana Jones, Tomb Raiders, National Treasure etc, this film is of Bhaarat origin and wow! It did not disappointed me. Though i saw the hindi dubbed, but I was fascinated by the twist and turns and its mysteriously brain-teaser plot. The story takes you to Pakistan and in a very interesting way. Good entertainer. One of the firsts of Taapsee Pannu too. Must watch.

I am surprised that no one later ever tried such plots. Good attempts on sets and riddle mechanics just like you see in the kinds National Treasure, Indiana Jones.

A different cinema
Ansango20 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
No doubt it is a different film as compared to the routine action comedies.Story is not unique but is good.It is the story of a simple security guard who wants to become rich. One day he finds a diary which belongs to his grandfather and describes about a hidden treasure. He also finds a locket which is actually a key.He goes on the treasure hunt without knowing the fact that a terrorist group also wants the treasure. How he finds the treasure and fights with terrorists forms the rest story. The story sounds very good but the execution is not up to the mark.Acting of the actors is good but Shakti kapoor sometimes overacts.Visually the film is very impressive. It is praiseworthy that the director tried something new.He maintains the flow of the story.Action scenes are good but are like speed barriers. If the film would have shorter then it would have more crisp.Still i enjoyed the movie.A good one for adventure movie lovers....

Effort is intense
ashoktodayland19 August 2022
Apart from few fight scenes the entire story was good & the best thing is every frame is engaging. Action, adventure was awesome and the story line was unique but in the climax giving away all the treasure was not convincing but for the effort of director would rate this movie.fight choreography spoiled this movie.if climax was written well then thismovie would have been a huge success. Gopichand& tapsee lead actor & actress was too good in performance.

Chandrasekhar Yeleti should be complimented for making such a different and engrossing film .
venkat_adithya20 July 2013
Chandrasekhar Yeleti tends to come up with novel themes or ideas. In Sahasam, he has taken a concept of a treasure hunt which has not been seen in cinema for some time. He blends history, reality, fiction with a good dose of adventure and thrill which engages the viewer. Also, he imparts an ancient-medieval look to the film in the parts where it is necessary be it through sepia-tint, patina, cobwebs, etc which lends a certain authenticity.

However, in Pakistan, he has the locals talking in Telugu which seemed out of place and inaccurate.

Yeleti has been able to get the best out of his technicians be it his writing team, cinematographer Shamdat, editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, music director Sri or art director Ramakrishna. Shamdat's camera is top-notch.He shoots the action sequences and the treasure hunt, especially towards the climax excellently.

Ramakrishna's art work, especially the set used for the climax, is commendable. Sri's background score was apt for this kind of a film. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao's editing was fine too.

Gopichand carried the film ably on his shoulders showing the necessary emotions. Taapsee has done well in the film especially in certain sequences like the Buzkashi. Shakti Kapoor plays the menacing don to perfection. Ali doesn't have much to do.

Chandrasekhar Yeleti should be complimented for making such a different and engrossing film . Sahasam is certainly worth a watch!

God Damn, The Story Line!!..
papanloveu28 July 2021
This movie really needs to be appreciated. Amongst all those action movies that are now a days a center of Indian cinema, this movie deserves to be praised. They fear to invest their money in these kind of movies, everyone wants to play safe.. but apparently there is hope. Highly recommended, a must watch movie!
