Well worth watching

This movie although it could have been written better and the acting was a little subpar was still very good and had a great story. Yes I will recommend it. James Welch Henderson Arkansas 8/26/21.

Just A Bad Film
davidwile2 March 2016
Hey folks, I can enjoy a good faith based film, but the key thing for me is the word "good." This film simply was not good. For me, a good film requires a good story and screenplay. This film's story could have been good, but the screenplay was terrible. The actors could have provided good performances, but their work was hobbled by the bad screenplay and bad direction.

Good faith based films are a welcomed respite from mindless foul language and just plain boring sex scenes that are so abundant in so many other films. This was just a poor attempt at making a faith based film.

Best wishes, Dave Wile

This movie should really get a minus

Firstly let me start by saying how shocked I was when I looked up this movie on IMDb, and found out that it had won some awards!! This movie is horrendous shockingly bad everything from the acting to the sets, Dean Cain should be ashamed to be associated with this terrible movie. I saw in totally ten minutes of this movie and that was enough, the camera work is shambolic worse than amateurish. The bit when the girl Summer sneaks in the church at night, is possibly the worse set in the history of movies, it looks more like a Ikea store at night that a church.

AVOID THIS MOVIE AT ALL COSTS!!

If someone bought you this movie, lose contact with them regardless of the relation this movie is BAD!!!!!

I watched this for Dean Cain

Warning: Spoilers
Christian movies had started getting good in the past 10 years, but this one broke from that progression. The idea for the story was good, and approximately two of the actors were good: Dean Cain and Mandalynn (the girl who played Summer). The outdoor scenery was pretty, too. Beyond that, it played exactly like the really cheap Christian movies of the early 2000s, with the brief, disjointed scenes jumping around; characters having a change of heart on a dime; randomly-placed musical numbers; and a lack of follow-through on the minor story arcs. I mean, I don't understand why the boy randomly sang a romantic song during youth group and then never talked to his crush for the rest of the movie. There was a lot of cringey awkwardness like this throughout the movie. Somehow, though, I did finish the entire movie - perhaps because we Christians were desensitized for so many decades thinking this was as good a movie as we'd be able to find with faith and good family values in it. Thankfully there are some better ones to choose from these days.

What A Waste Of Time!
skeelovr18 June 2023
I don't ordinarily take the time to write reviews or rate movies, but this one was SO bad that I felt compelled to do so. I am quite certain that this is unequivocally the worst movie I have ever seen. I kept waiting for it to get better so I continued to watch, but, alas, it did not redeem itself. I kept waiting for the horse plot, given the name, to take precedence. Instead, the preachy dialogue prevailed, with particularly bad acting. This is a MUST MISS! I hate that I am forced to write six hundred characters before this site will accept my review. Only thirty-seven characters to go. Success!
