I am in the process of watching Bullet Points: America's First War on Communism. It is paused as I type. I watched it until it addressed a subject area I am interested in. This is not to be considered a "spoiler" but a statement of fact. The narrative of the documentary is not accurate about that part of the Korean Conflict I am familiar with. The reference to the Marine X Corps is totally wrong. The Absence of any mention of the US Army's units and the ROK units fighting north of the 38th Parallel to the east of the 8th Army is misleading. As a former Marine I am very proud of the US Marine Corps' history; we don't need to mislead or misrepresent the facts of our prowess in American Military history. The X Corps was an Army unit with two ROK divisions, two Army divisions and a Marine division. At the battle of the Chosen Reservoir were our 1st Marine Division (-) reinforced with British Marines and US Army elements and the 31st Regimental Combat Team of the Army's 7th Infantry Division fighting on the northeast shore of the lake (not attached to the Marine division). Providing rear guard and truck transportation for the Marine division's retrograde was Task Force Dog (3d Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment and many others) and the 65th Infantry Regiment (closer to the coast) from the Army's 3d Infantry Division. I have to question other portions of this documentary's presentation that I am not as familiar with.
