I'm really enjoying this series. All three of the main characters are coming into focus and the tragic/cringe style of comedy is very effective. I guess only a certain proportion of people will like it, but if you like it, you will know.
Dougie (Benny Safdie) is coming into sharper focus in this episode. Before, he just seemed like some golden boy producer with the "network's" ear, key to Whitney and Asher's success, but now we see that he's a bit of a fraud with a sketchy past that he hasn't come to terms with, which explains his exile to New Mexico.
Meanwhile, Whitney is deluding herself about her social status in the Santa Fe art world and Asher is very awkwardly and hilariously playing Jack Bauer in a casino in a desperate attempt to keep embarrassing footage off the local news. Can't wait to see what happens next!
