You won't ever get that time back

Warning: Spoilers
Well, I've discovered that it a film lands up on Tubi then it is probably a really, really bad film, and this is one of them. Look, it isn't even that the acting is particularly bad, but I can assure you that it is. Rather, it is what is probably a half decent plot, but the execution (and the acting) is really, really bad. Oh, and the characters are actually quite annoying as well.

So, this film is about a couple of idiots who get their hands on some tickets to a camp, called Nood Camp. Being the idiots that they are they don't realise that Nood is in reference to a nearby village. Anyway, they go to the camp expecting lots of women only to discover that it is actually a campsite. Anyway, the owner dies and they get her to sign over the camp to themselves and decide to turn it into a 'Babe Camp'. However, the owner's daughters rock up and attempt to get the camp off of them.

Yeah, as I said, it was pretty bad, and the really crude attempts at humour makes it even worse. Okay, apparently there is this idea that we laugh at idiots because they make us feel good about ourselves, but the reality is that they don't actually do that. In fact, it annoys me, and what annoys me more is that there are a lot of people like that out there that actually makes this world a particularly horrible place to live.

Honestly, my opinion is not to waste your time with this film. It isn't funny, in fact the crudeness makes it even worse. Even if you want to watch something on Tubi, give this one a miss.

That was a swing and a miss...

Initially I picked up this movie given the fact that the movie's cover was rather much reminiscent of a National Lampoon's movie cover of sorts. However, I have to admit that I wasn't exactly expecting the movie to be on scale with most comedies of the National Lampoon's ilk.

Sure, I had never heard about "Babe Camp" from writer and director Philip West, as I stumbled upon it by random chance here in 2023. So I wasn't sure what I was in for, aside from it being a comedy of sorts. But I wasn't really harboring much of any expectations to the movie, truth be told.

The storyline and narrative in "Babe Camp" was pretty sluggish and mundane. There wasn't really much of any entertainment, enjoyment or comedy to be found throughout the course of the 85 minutes that the movie ran for. And without any laughs, or an overly interesting storyline, it was quite a struggle and an ordeal to sit through the movie that Philip West conjured up.

"Babe Camp" is permeated by a feel of low budget in every aspect, and it sort of feels like a homemade movie or a high school film club project. So don't expect anything grand here.

Needless to say that I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list in "Babe Camp". There isn't a single famous performer on the cast list. And in fairness, I will say that the actors and actresses did attempt to make the movie watchable, but they just had the budget and the script working against them.

If you enjoy comedy movies, your money, time and effort is best spent elsewhere. Some of us suffered through this ordeal, so you don't have to. You're welcome!

My rating of "Babe Camp" lands on a two out of ten stars.

Nood Camp

Warning: Spoilers
Billy Cockburn (Paul Belsey) and Charlie Molly (Richard Harding) are middle-aged men with pot bellies living at home with Billy's mum (Denise Wilton). Billy drinks and Charlie has premature issues. They go on a holiday to Nude Camp, but end up at Nood Camp where there is no nudity, especially in January. Through a series of circumstances, the owner (Sophia Harding) of the camp dies and the guys take over the facility, turning it into "Babe Camp" a nudist camp.

The humor is adolescent and slapstick. The bits were not funny. Too much feces humor. Writer director Philip West dared to show his face in the film playing a talking mute thinking it was clever.

Guide: F-word. Implied sex. No nudity at the Nood Camp.

Utterly terrible

This film is so bad that it makes most other films look good just because this film is so much worse. It is not quite the worst film I have ever seen but it's definitely Bottom 10.

The "humour" is the sort of thing 12 year old boys would find immature. The acting from most of the cast is worse than you'd get in a primary school nativity play. The script is so clunky and badly written that you wonder if English is the writer's first language.

I am desperately trying to find something positive to say to end my review on but all I can come up with is that one or two of the cast at least demonstrate that they might be good in other things - but not this one.

Avoid. Seriously. This isn't even "so bad it's good". It's not even "so bad you can show it in Film Studies courses to teach what NOT to do". It's so obviously bad that you wonder what was going through the makers' minds.

I cannot stress this enough: avoid.
