Whiny Main Hero

Buchigiri is a remake of an anime movie by the same title. I don't remember whether I've watched the previous version of film or not, but I do get annoyed a lot by the main hero being a whiny and live in his unrealistic fantasy of ideal relationship.

The supporting characters, however, were all great and enjoyable. A lotal friend who vouched and tried to protect him at all time, a genie who longed for a powerful human to sync with, a girl he fell for who was a psychotic, big brother lover, her big brother who was psychotic violence gang head, and more characters yet to introduced.

The action and humor were well timed and fun AF. The comical violence drew at minimum a smile. But the main hero being a whiny boy turned me off and less interested.

amazing anime and amazing animation

Produced by Mappa so the animation is amazing, the characters are lively and I find myself looking forward to this anime every week. The fights have great choreography and are a feast for the eye. The characters are all quite quirky and likable. The main character is whiny and quite annoying at times but i believe its for the sake of giving more room for character development.

I find the setting and the scenery of the anime quite unique among all other anime, it feels like a mix of all types of cultures but yet very natural. The different gangs in this anime make it all the more interesting.:)

Unbearable MC

He's so obnoxious. His punchline(literally), is screaming about wanting to lose his virginity. Delusional. Keeps being a creep about the girl he likes, despite the girl hating him. Liking a girl would also just be a byproduct because it's clear that he just wants to insert his shaft into any pretty girl he can. He would let his friends be messed up badly. He only cares about the girl. He seems to have a traumatic experience of when he once abandoned his friend, yet he continues to do so. This had made people drop the show. The worst thing is I've had a friend like this. Mc loses hope in everything whenever he gets that the girl doesn't want him near. The mc just wants ffff anda pretty girl. That is all. He does nothing else other than being coincidentally dragged into places and having the loss of virginity as a source of motivation.

Mappa never disappoint it's a good fighting series with different plot and rare story to continue the series I love character designs and animation I have 1 question Araji Tomobishi gets caught up in battles among powerful individuals after reuniting with his former friend Mataka Asamine. Meanwhile, the shadow of a colossal demon appears...?!.

Btw it's fun to watch good anime series and love to see more animate season of the anime.

It's okay worth a laugh

Hello Fellow Humans,

I have watched a ton of anime ever since I have become permanently disabled due to Bone Cancer. I don't know if it's that I have seen so much anime or what but this show just isn't that great. I will watch it just because I am running out of anime to watch. Yes I have seen thousands and thousands of hours of anime. This anime is just nothing special. It has your typical idiot main character who just isn't smart at all. He finds a genie and makes a wish to lose his virginity. Seriously you will lose that eventually.

If you are ever lucky enough to make a wish. First ast if their is any limit to the wish. If yes then what's the limit if no then you ask for one thing and one thing only. To have all of Dr Manhattans powers and abilities. You will become immortal, nothing will ever hurt you, you will have all the knowledge in the universe, you can travel anywhere, you can walk on the sun or sleep in the darkness of space. You will be able to make as many copies of yourself as you want. You can grow infinitely small or infinitely big. You can create life or take it away. Anything you want to come into reality will. So with that in mind you could for example create the infinity gauntlet or Star Trek space ships or entire planets with entirely new species like elves and dwarfs and whatnot. You would literally be a God.

But this anime does what so many animes do. They wish for something so stupid it ruins the show. I mean are people so dumb they would wish for basic things like a million dollars or strength. Being Dr Manhattan means you can just create money or become the ruler of earth or the universe if you wanted. You can travel through time and see dinosaurs. Basic average wishes are boring and make shows lame. Take the show That time I turned into a slime at least he ended up being a ruler and demon king. That show is worth watching. But this show the guy wishes to lose his virginity and to make it worse every time he does it back fires and makes the guy trying to beat him up fall in love it seems. The girl he truly wants hates him and he knows it and yet he still wants her. Again if he made a real wish he would not have to worry about not being liked or his virginity. I mean at least wish to be immortal meaning never aging past 24 years old and always healing from anything. Nothing will hurt you not the sun or a black hole. You can travel through any pressure or temperature. Make sure you are very specific so they don't make you immortal but you are so old you turn into bones or something.

But the show is funny and stupid enough to make you laugh. You know those shows that are kind of good because they are so bad. This is this show. It just is t good but is funny because of how bad it is. So watch for a laugh it will not be getting another season.

Hilarious fighting anime

If you're a fan of anime like Jojo's bizarre adventure particularly part 3 you will enjoy this show! Lots of similarities with stand users and Middle East meet far East. Also there's lots of implied bromance going on which I enjoy personally but it can easily be overlooked if it's not your cup of tea. I found the comedy to be on point I was laughing my ass off the whole time up until the last few episodes when things got more serious.

The character designs are well done everyone is very attractive. If you're into pretty men this show is for you. The female lead is not a romantic prospect I think she's just there to make the show seem less overtly gay so the main character has someone to openly pursue. She is only interested in her brother which is a bit weird but not uncommon trope for anime.

There's some tension between Arajin and Matakara that kept me watching. Wondering why their relationship so tense when they grew up together. Arajin can get a bit annoying at times he's so closed off and not in touch with his feelings. But in the end I still enjoyed him and his growth.

When you know you know

First I would like to start by saying that it is unfair to compare this show to the past movie with the same title. The "thug" that existed back then dose not exist in this day and age. They went extinct about 2 years ago. This Show is defiantly not made for a western audience and is more a love letter to the east and Asia. For thousands of years influence that was not western happened through art, story telling, creativity and philosophy. It was not as loud as the western influence but defiantly had a equivalent mark. Many of the known stories from the "Alf lela wo lela" thousand and one night that are shared across the east and Asia are are stories inspired by travels across that side of the world, with many Chinese eastern influence. Where in in ancient times they exchanged students and education. One of the biggest stories that captured the world as a whole is the lour of the wish granting Jin. And in this Anime it is sharing a public school that is neglected in the poorer side of town that has kids that been influenced by a eclectic sources and noise, you see them eat Chinese food and kabab and falafel which, most japanned people view as high in fat and not clean. Which tells me that not all the kids are of Japanese decent. There is a lot to say about this show and I love it's eclectic mess, that is reflecting a sliver of eastern reality.
