- Emily Fields: [as Melissa enters] Spence.
- Aria Montgomery: When did she get back?
- Emily Fields: Why did she get back?
- Hanna Marin: Yeah, I thought she was gone for good when they found Wilden.
- [to Spencer:]
- Hanna Marin: Mona said that your sister was with Wilden on the train, and then she just leaves the night he was killed?
- Spencer Hastings: [with doubt] Well, Mona said she was on the train.
- [gets up]
- Hanna Marin: Just because Mona said doesn't mean it's not true.
- Aria Montgomery: Any luck with Big Bird's phone number?
- Spencer Hastings: No. I plugged it into every reverse directory and search engine I could. But it's a real number. It's going through a real line. But I can't even find a name or even a town.
- Aria Montgomery: Dead end?
- Spencer Hastings: No. Not yet. I'm not giving up on it.
- Hanna Marin: God, I'm gonna end up without a Mom or Dad.
- [shakes her head]
- Caleb Rivers: Has your Mom talked to your Dad about this at all?
- Hanna Marin: No.
- [shakes her head]
- Hanna Marin: My Mom and Dad communicate through attorneys ever since my Dad and his Stepford Wife pulled Kate out of Rosewood High.
- Emily Fields: Ali was at that studio. Both masks came from the same place.
- Aria Montgomery: Yeah, but we don't know how many there are, or who has them.
- Emily Fields: And if they got them from Ali or this guy's studio.
- Hanna Marin: [grabs her stuff] Let's go find out.
- Aria Montgomery: [hesitantly] Shouldn't we wait for Spencer?
- Hanna Marin: No, we can handle this on our own.
- [the other two look at each other uncertainly]
- Hanna Marin: What? We can't make a move without Nancy Drew? This mask connects us to Ali and the Halloween train, which connects us to Wilden. The police have our names on a board with arrows and graphs, and not just ours, my Mom's up there.
- [shaking her head:]
- Hanna Marin: So I'm not waiting for Spencer because A's not waiting for anyone. Now come on!
- [goes off]
- Aria Montgomery: Feels like I've just been drafted.
- Melissa Hastings: You asked me a question once.
- Spencer Hastings: Hmm?
- Melissa Hastings: If it came down to protecting you, or protecting somebody else, somebody I loved, who would I pick? Do you remember?
- Spencer Hastings: [nods] Yeah, I do.
- Melissa Hastings: What would your answer be... if I asked you the same question? If you had to choose, what would you do?
