nice fresh clean movie

Its a cutsy feel good movie. Quite a fresh feeling movie. Stands out on its own among the trash being churned out by the current movie making bollywood factory. Worth seeing with your family. Both the two young boys are also a refresing change of young actors...they add their own pizzaz to the movie. Manav Kaul has got it right down to the casting as well.

All in all it provides a unique take on his brand of creative view and story. Looking forward to more and more of such projects. Give it a while to settle on you and you will like how it opens up. Time well spent for viewers..and that too with the family!

Good story and script. Except Genelia's performance

Every thing in the movie was good including story, script, directions and how the movie forced people to laugh and cry along with the characters. However Genelia's acting wasn't that good. Few years ago, her bad acting skills used to behind the cute looks that she had. However now that didn't work and only she performed poorly in the movie. This is an honest feedback and in case if Genelia is reading then she must work to improve her acting skills now. Manav Jail's performance was fabulous, same was followed by Zidane, Shakti Kapoor, Gajraj Rao, Sheeba, Barun Chanda and Swaroopa Ghosh. These actors and actresses must be appreciated for pulling up the movie to 8 stars despite poor acting from Genelia.

A feel good family drama

It is one of the best feel-good movies in hindi after a long time. More credits for the new concept of trail father. Although the movie gets predictable, the characters make the movie a must watch. The small boy deserves a ton of appreciation for his performance. Genelia, as a mother, has given an excellent performance. Just loved the Manav Kaul character. The love story that develops between Genelia and Manav has been portrayed beautifully. The performance of Shakti Kapoor and Sheebha deserves credit. The bengali song was also too good.

On a whole, if you want to watch a good family drama, just enjoy this beautiful movie with your family and friends.

The movie feels fresh. Loved the direction. The story is kind of unique and felt good. Story can get a little too predictable but nevertheless well shot. Its not a thriller to have a unpredicatable end. No overaction by the kids too! Some scenes gets over dramatic but they are too short and not dragged by songs etc... Otherwise many life scenarios are captured in a natural way. The lead role Manav has done an excellent acting. He is the charm of the movie. Genelia adds more excitement on te screen too. The neighbor uncle and aunty have done a great job. Overall good time pass I enjoyed it. Its a fun watch with family.

Wholesome, innocent, simple & sweet

In an era of high-budget blockbusters, the simplicity of this movie is a breath of fresh air.

Manav Kaul shines in his role as PD, a simple man with love to give.

(Bonus points: he's also a history professor.)

I am personally not a fan of Genelia's acting as I believe she leaves much to be desired, but the movie overall is good enough to compensate for that.

The romantic development had me feeling butterflies. The main characters have great chemistry- despite the movie not showing any physical intimacy at all (another thing I loved about this film).

Is the plot predictable? Yes. But it's also really sweet regardless.

A cute and wholesome family movie that makes a lovely watch.

The movie is just a simple ,soft and emotional entertainer

Now about the the concept of hiring a father on trail period is little weird but we are seeing a fiction where any thing is possible..I would suggest do not compare our daily lives and practicality with movies just see what they offer you

The movie goes in slow pace where zidane played very well with support from Manav who itself is a high performer and Genelia was ok..good soft emotions are flooded here with some good songs specially the Bengali song they presented

This weekend we got good options on ott like bawaal and this one.

Now days it's tough to make a movie like this. I haven't seen such beautiful paring of lead cast in a while. Kudos to supporting cast as well Shakti Kapoor, Gajraj Rao and all other kids throughout the movie kept us engaged. I remember when I saw the movie named Chintu Ka Birthday where kid steal the show one could relate the character of Romi. Also poem recitation by Manav kaul in a movie scene I bet it could be written by himself. He is a gem of a actor. Background score is good with one or two songs in this movie. Its must one time watch for everyone.

Anyways its good beginning by jiocinema on OTT platform.

It's simple movie I mean very simple but still it just gives some special feeling. There is nothing like twist & turns, great stars, chasing sequences, fights, chartbuster songs, big sets, abroad locations etc. What it has is beautiful emotions, good humour, strong acting, full proof script. 1st thing which hit my mind is why all these years Genelia has not acted. She is very good actress, I still remember her in Jaane tu ya Jaane na. Manav Kaul is as usual so effortless & bang on target. Supporting casts have big names like Shakti Kapoor, Gajraj Rao & Sheeba Chaddha who does their job perfectly. But the one who stills the show is the kid Zidane Braz. He acted so beautifully that heart just goes for him. He has excellent future in acting for sure. And last but not least the Aleya Sen, the Director has made sure to keep it simple but still special. No un-necessary stuff about divorce or people talking non-sense etc. Pure story which is also not that big/complicated. Just love this film. And sincere request to Genelia to please continue doing acting. It's a must see film.

With a unique concept, predictable scanes this movie is must watch for cinema lovers. Manav Kaul is a truly inspirational actor and deserve more than he get. A Big thank you makers for choosing him in Lead Role. In emotional and pause scanes he truly nailed it. Genelia is looking fresh in all parts of movie. Also a big applause for child whose playing son. A Good Starcast is also a big boost to drama scenes.

One thing is not clear about me is a Bengali Sister have a Punjabi brother(Shakti Kapoor).but that is not a big thing.

In Bollywood You not always watch fresh concept or original stories. For that we also applause writer, Director and Producers.

A sweet, emotional family movie that tugs at your heart! Loved the subtle but exciting chemistry between Genelia and Manav. The songs are very memorable and created just the right mood. The relationship of the boy with his mother was beautifully captured and no way did the new dad take over but the fact that both together were so essential to the boy's well being pointed to an ideal yin yang energy where love flourishes inspite of the every day mundane problems of life. Also bullying which is so common place and the need for a child to stand up for her or himself or confiding in an adult . The need for talking time was really beautifully shown since gadgets and busy schedules have really taken over our lives. But truly are we really that busy that we cannot communicate or we really need to priorotise family talking time. Bhayankar message ,well done!

Blend of bitter sweet family moments

The movie is so sweet. The characters have acted so natural that it feel like you are watching your next door neighbour story.

This film can touch million of hearts and is a great movie to start a off beat conversation about family dynamics.

Personally this is so far best movie of OTT platforms. Sweet, cute moments with few twarjeark moments. The movie starts with dew comedy scenes, turns into family story of mother, son and father on rent. So beautifully crafted and filmed.

Genelia and manav kaul are awesome to see in a movie. Really a must watch movie with family.

Hindi movie Trial Period starring Genelia Dsouza and Manav kaul supported by Shakti Kapoor , Gajraj Rao and Sheeba chada A good family entertainer movie directed by Aleya Sen it's a story about a single mother whose child insists for a father hence she goes to rent a person for 1 month as a trial.

How Manav's character changes their life is the whole story. After second half it's predictable but you enjoy the movie due to its humour, emotions and different family dynamics and clashes that are shown due to different cultures.

Manav Kaul has given a outstanding performance .

Genelia as single mother is superb.

Good chemistry between both the lead actors their pairing looks natural and is the backbone of the movie.

Anupam Roy's background score deserves mention, especially the classical Indian-laced portions. The soundtrack is memorable

After a long long time I watched a outstanding Bollywood movies with family entertainment.

Great work by all actors. Specially a manav kaul and Gajrav Rao both are great actor.

After a long time i watched Gelinia she doing a her role perfectly.

Simple story of with lovely direction. I not say it's very great movie.

But I love it.

This movie simply entertane us and also described the an important of complete family.

When i start to watching this movie with zero expectations and i decided i watched this movie first 15 minutes if its not good I stop and sleep. But not 1 Am night and complete this movie in one shot.

Great content newer idea good movie pulled in low cost must watch fell in love with Genelia after watching this movie hopefully I get the partner like ana (character played by Genelia) in real life. I don't know how these movie get no recognitions and movies which are baseless barely can be watched are so successful just because of the stardom. Can watch this movie with family or with partner has a great story line with a developing love story all the actors are on point script and dialogue are great will hold your attention till the end no dragging of the scenes just required ones at last should definitely watch.

What a movie!! I watched and loved the movie very very much. Must watch with the family. The kid is so cute. The acting of all three is superb! The story is really amazing and impressive,all characters is this movie is superb, its looks really amazing full entertainment is going to happen, The movie is something different. It has a different way to express feelings of a small boy. It is very good. The movie is awesome. It has a good content. The plot,scenes, comedy,climax of the movie is good. It has a good vision. The Method acting, The method script, nothing was lacking ,everything was to the point. The uniqueness was the beauty of movie, the struggle of a single parent, how life goes so smooth if you have a good partner, a good supportive father, who teaches you to fight for yourself, who becomes your best support system, what a simply unique beautiful movie. A very good script, and commendable appreciation for the writing team and to the everyone who puts their soul to make this movie.

Manav Kaul- The OG Genelia ji- The Wonder and the kid is all heart.

All over the perfect movie we need.

The special effects blew my mind!!!I am so glad that the trailer for this movie didn't show all of the best scenes from the film..The plot blew me away completely and the performances, twists and dialogue made the characters so relatable and so engaging with brilliant music and score that'll make you shake. The audio in this film is incredible. The noises is This movie is so well made. I totally loved it.
