A woman is stabbed in her home and it looks like a crime of passion of her lover, Rodolphe Becker, just released from prison for the murder of his wife. Even if he always claimed his innocence, everything seemed to accuse him then and now. But when Candice gets to know the man, she faces the doubt and gets off the main track of the case, as she thinks it all seems too obvious.

Antoine's drug addiction is leading him to dangerous lengths and it's starting to affect his work, as the team digs into the death of a poor, single mother. Another new guy, who works very much to his own schedule, is transferred to the team.

Attia finally goes into labour and Candice has to take over for her. Antoine is supposedly on leave but actually under cover at the docks, leading to more secrets and lies between Candice and Canovas.

A children's sailing instructor disappears into the sea, Candice finds out that she is taking in a refugee girl who has also disappeared. Candice discovers that Antoine is dating Jennifer and he organizes a couples dinner with David and Candice.

Brigadier Mehdi Babou, joins Commandant Renoir's team and he seems "different" from them but he will be as surprised as the rest of the team of Candice's methods. The brigade will test him quick: the body of a woman is found near the cliffs. Edible paint remains on the victim's body put them on the trail of a nearby illegal nursery. At home, Candice watches the conflict between her posh ex-husband Laurent and David Canovas, her new boyfriend from the BRI.
