SO NON JEETU BHAIYA...
Rajit_thebingewatcher23 December 2023
It has been tried before in the movie, A lot of times where the gray character of the beginnings has to do right and ideal things because he is forced to do so somehow. Take an example of Ghulam Amir Khan the thug slowly turning into the ideal person. However in "Dry day" the reminiscence of "GUIDE" can be seen where a crooked is forced to go on hunger strike and ultimately changes the course of the story.

The place where the story faulters is the loose editing (lot of unwanted sequence with no consequential effect on the story still in the movie), music ( no mention-worthy songs) and the motive of the story which is attached to gannu's wife. Shreya Pilgaonkar's motive, her persuasion in the beginning seems forced and subsequently diluting the chemistry between.

Story of an alcoholic leading the alcohol ban petition, interesting move but alas lacked the depth and study.

Not upto the mark
abhinavdubey-3909829 December 2023
I watched the movie with lot of expectations as our jitu bhaiyya is the hero of this film. However, the movie turned out to be quite boring in the end. The topic was good but couldn't be justified. Overall the movie looked as if it was directed very casually. The movie looked confused! It didn't had any strong flavour of humour, emotion, action, drama or anything else. Maybe a mix of everything. Jitu bhaiyya was good but couldn't be utilised properly. Anu ji is a great actor and always impresses. Rest of the actors were substandard and unable to do justice with their roles. The director thought to carry the whole film on jitu bhaiyya and Anu Kapoor ji's shoulders but failed. I'll not call the movie disaster but a boring one. I had high hopes but shattered completely. It's a okayish movie and can be skipped if you have other priorities in life!

That's all. Sayonara!

Poor story n bad screenplay
sabooravi24 December 2023
Very poor storyline with very weak screenplay and bad direction. The characters are mostly sketchy with no depth. Jitender and Anu Kapoor have acted nicely but Shriya Pilgaonkar is just too bad. She doesn't suit the role at all. Unable to understand why any producer and director risk taking her? Can't they see her poor acting skills? The side actress, don't remember her name, the one who tried immolation was just brilliant.

It is amazing that such huge monetary risks are taken for such a poor story... Indeed people have huge risk taking abilities.

The only small positive or good thing in the movie is the diction used by the characters, they have carried it very nicely but not all will be able to understand this Eastern UP dialect.

The flavor of Bihar
debojyotichakraborty-2411622 December 2023
Those who have seen the old Bihar means the Bihar before alcohol was banned. They will like the movie.

The biggest positive aspect of the movie is that it has the full flavor of countryman. If you watch the movie, you will feel like you are in Bihar. But the movie did not stand up because of the bad storyline. Very messy script. But the movie could have been better.

Jitendra kumar is very good actor but his personality doesn't go well with the character of this movie. The movie is too loud at some places. The success rate would have increased if it had a more funny twist.

But Annu Kapoor is different from everyone. As well as good. The script did not hinder his performance.

In the movie, the good side is less and the bad side is seen more.

Dry Day (2023) receives mixed reviews, leaning towards negative. Its strong points include:
adgeencom28 December 2023
Jitendra Kumar's spirited performance as a flawed protagonist.

Quirky and potentially interesting premise around a local politician tackling alcohol prohibition.

However, it's criticized for:

Heavy-handed and unsubtle messaging about the dangers of alcohol.

Lack of nuanced character development and predictable plot.

Disjointed narrative with an unsatisfying climax.

Overall, Dry Day is a watchable film with some entertaining moments, but its preachy tone and weak execution may leave you feeling dry. You can purchase download full movie dry day 2023 on okbeen.com all over people thinking possitive.

Aims too high, falls equally short
yogeshsingla-3157326 December 2023
The central theme is good.

But it fails to elicit the emotional response from the audience. Let alone the twisty plot with excessive abusive language.

Plot has significant loopholes in multiple characters and plot points. For example, Sattu joining the movement for far too long. Funding from Balram. Dauji's public rebuttal followed by no course of action by the public which happens to attack Gannu on arrival.

In terms of acting, few actors went over board while most felt real.

The film has good music scores.

Overall, I appreciate the hard work that must have been put by everyone to make this film but the public rating is justified in terms of the short comings of the film.

I would be surprised if you leave the theatre inspired or changed. Rather you might have mixed feelings and are left perplexed.

Surprised by the negative reviews. Wach it now
Thepunjabiviewer25 December 2023
Man am I surprised to see negative reviews on this one. I mean it was'nt perfect but it was one of the best comedies I have seen in recent times. All the charaacters even extras had good presence.

The lead actor Gunnu and his wife have been excellent. The screeenplay has all arcs and acts that you expect from ta good script. Dialogues were as funny as one expect. The second half has all the twist and turns and cliffhangers that are usually lacking in plain jane comedies nowdays. Overall its a good film that depicts exactly what many alcoholics do and it was 2023 best comedy. I bet you to suggest any other. Go watch.

Why so many negative reviews for a film with social values?
kissinternational26 December 2023
I think audience is more inclined towards negative content as opposed to something that showcases social value. The film is about fight against alcohol and its impact on society especially rural areas . Since majority of the population have embraced alcohol I am not surprised about negative reviews. Any film that glorifies violence, misogyny and sexuality is watched by majority of the public. The audience are being programmed and are averse towards positivity. What is wrong with this film? It has good storyline, great performances, engaging screenplay yet people don't seem to like it. They like films where protagonist chops people off without the fear of law. I wonder where the society is heading. Such films must be encouraged.

Bhaiya ka naam banana hai, Humko Dilli jaana hai!
mjonmark-1891422 December 2023
Salute to Jitendra for an absolutely amazing performance. This man should be given more opportunities in bollywood. In my opinion, the plot is very simple: The actress: Shriya, is pregnant with the kid of Jitendra who is a drunk thug, when he realises his kid will be aborted, he decides to ban alcohol. That's it.

The cast and their presence on the screen is absolutely insane. Jitendra makes you cry, laugh, and has constantly remained in the character of a drunk man without any effort. Screen play is also brilliant. The director has touched on many sensitive topics in a very intelligent way and it's commendable.

Much needed film to raise the standard of Indian cinema.

The movie has so many surprises, drama, emotion, message and commentary on current state of politics in India. Don't miss it.
