Thanks for the ride

Shaun White didn't invent snowboarding but snowboarding owes what it is today to Shaun White. Starting with little Shaun in home movies and interviews that show glimpses of the legend he would become, this 4 part series takes us on a journey through Shaun's life - showing us how having a constant of people who love, support, and believe in you can nurture a rarely seen talent and make it the best in the world for nearly two decades. Even knowing the outcome, if the last 45 minutes of the 4th episode doesn't fill you with hope and bring you to tears, there's something wrong.

This is an incredible story of pure athleticism, of determination, of perseverence, and of family. What an incredible life. Thanks, Shaun, for taking us all on the ride.

Great documentary. Shaun White is resilient!

My goodness. I have been a fan of Shaun White since I was 10 years old and I loved this documentary. It chronicles his upbringing in his adventurous family up to making his last run at the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games.

I appreciate that this docuseries tells Shaun's story non-linearly. I was gripped for most of the series. There were a few times it lagged but it picked up again right away. And that was in the first episode only. It picks up and explores Shaun's victories and defeats with his loved ones right there with him. The filmmakers should be proud of this production because they let the audience come to their conclusion about the story of Shaun's snowboarding and skateboarding career.

The best feature may be the transitions from when Shaun or someone he knows experiences a hardship. The score, cinematography, sounds and overall emotions of the moments truly gripped me in. I was applauding so many times and even did a standing ovation in my living room. Keep on rocking Shaun. You are legend bro!

And one more thing. I resonated with the theme of humility throughout this production. How Shaun had rk humble himself when things didn't go well. That was another distinctive feature of this series. The amount of episodes is just right. Thanks again. I will be watching it.
