Watchable

A watchable, if uneven CGI animation.

The premise was solid, but for some reason I wasn't entirely convinced by the execution.

The voice acting was a little bit cheesy, unfitting for the dramatic story told here, wih the characters almost sounding lik if they were in a cartoon aimed at children, despite the dark elements of the plot.

The animation for the scenes taking place in the present time looks decent, but the animation used in the flashbacks has a rather ugly, dated look. Maybe this aesthetic was deliberately chosen to contrast the past with the sad present of the protagonist, but I sincerely didn't like it very much.

The atmosphere was nice, however.

6/10.

about roots

the past. memories. a young man in a desolated house. an entity. and the source of poor state. a film about a root of evil. good animation, interesting story. right way to tell it. and the wise use of biographical fragments. all - as large circle defining portrait of a looser. "Memoria" has the gift to be not only a good animation but a convincing warning. that does it interesting. and does it one of admirable works about a delicate subject.
