Melo Movie’s ending is a tad different from your usual romantic K-drama; it’s a little bit sad, it’s a little bit happy, and it’s a whole lot romantic. The 10-part series gives off the impression it’ll deliver an ending that’s going to leave us sad, maybe along the lines of Twenty-Five Twenty-One or Mr. Plankton, but instead it gives us an “adulting” ending. What I mean by this is that it’s a realistic, bittersweet ending, and I know many will disagree with me on this. Yes, the lead couple ends up together and is happy, but hear me out, everything else is kind of a mess, no? It definitely lives up to the title of “Melo Movie,” though, because when you’re in love, even the things that are complicated and scary all seem okay. That’s what the ending of the show feels like.

Stardew Valley is well-known as a cozy and relaxing game, but one fan has taken it to a much more intense extreme. While Stardew is known for its farming, laid-back way of life, and even a few stressful mine situations, it is mainly used to wind down and have fun after a long day.
Reddit user SpiderrCiderr shared their hand-drawn planner for the game, under the title "The coziest game but make it stressful." The planner shows a hefty amount of Spring goals to reach, a key to understand what the readers are looking at, and a calendar that gives a rundown day by day for the entire month.

Netflixs new original K-drama Mr. Plankton is the perfect show for those who liked Queen of Tears. One of the best K-dramas of 2024, Queen of Tears aired for eight weeks and delivered an unusual yet compelling love story about a married couple trying to rebuild their relationship amidst secrets, ghosts from the past, and life-changing decisions. Queen of Tearss ending broke a lot of records and even surpassed Crash on Landing on Yous finale to become tvNs highest-rated episode, which shows how successful the K-drama starring Kim Ji-won and Kim Soo-hyun was.
Queen of Tears' cast, writing, and production value were some of the reasons why the show became so popular and achieved such impressive viewership numbers. Although it might take some time before another romantic K-drama becomes as big as Queen of Tears, 2024 has seen plenty of other great shows in that genre. This includes Mr. Planktons, a Netflix original series starring Lee Yoo-mi,...

My first thought while watching Mr. Plankton was, why is this show under the dark comedy label when it’s merely a comedy with dark themes and undertones? I don’t think this is necessarily satire; it’s simply dry humor but with a touch of slapstick. The yelling and screaming are the norm for any K-drama comedy fan, but for someone who is new to this stuff, they might be left wanting something different. And in all honesty, in a decade of watching K-dramas, I’ve got to admit, I’ve come to expect much more from these shows as well. Look, this is not to say that Mr. Plankton is terrible because it doesn’t live up to some random internet journalist’s high standard for dark comedy, but it does fall a little bit flat for the stakes at hand, and I’ll tell you why.

“Mr. Plankton” is a South Korean movie directed by Hong Jong-chan. It stars Woo Do-hwan, Lee Yu-mi, and Oh Jung-se.
“Mr. Plankton” springs from a complex premise, to say the least: it seeks to intertwine the lives of two terminally ill individuals and craft it into a hilarious comedy. Yet, with its adeptness at genre-blending, this series achieves a rather uneven fusion of comedy and tragedy, juxtaposing moments of intimacy and romance with the most uproarious humor. This all unfolds after the two protagonists receive the devastating news: they have only a few months left to live.

Look, obviously the big news this November is the U.S. presidential election.
But for the moments when you want to look away from wall-to-wall coverage (or just stop doomscrolling), Netflix has plenty to keep you occupied. There’s new original Christmas movies like “Hot Frosty” and “The Merry Gentlemen,” as well as more “Outer Banks” for fans of that show created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke. Plus Oscar contenders like “Emilia Perez” are now streaming on the service. But all of that is just preamble to our No. 1 pick this month, because when Mike Schur has a new television show, it’s time to pay attention.
Top Pick: “A Man on the Inside”
Created by Schur and loosely based on the 2020 documentary “The Mole Agent,” the eight-episode comedy series will star Ted Danson, who volunteers to help a private detective by going undercover at a nursing...

This article contains spoilers for the following K-dramas: Mr. Sunshine, Snowdrop, Goblin, and Queen of Tears.
Romance K-dramas usually have a happy ending, but Netflixs upcoming Mr. Plankton series starring Woo Do-hwan and Lee You-min seems like it could have a tragic outcome based on the trailer. Although some of the most anticipated K-dramas of 2024 have been released already, including but not limited to Queen of Tears and Love Next Door, there are still some exciting shows left to be released this year. Netflixs K-drama slate for the remainder of 2024 includes horror returning shows such as Hellbound and Squid Game as well as brand-new series such as Mr. Plankton.
A Netflix original, Mr. Plankton will arrive on the streaming platform on November 8. The show will consist of 10 episodes and will join the already long list of Korean webseries made for Netflix. A romantic comedy, Mr. Plankton is directed by Juvenile...

Currently revelling in the success of recently-uploaded Don Lee-starring film “Badland Hunters” and already teasing the second season of “Squid Game,” Netflix has unveiled a major slate of Korean films and series for 2024.
In August last year, Netflix publicly committed to investing $2.5 billion on Korean content over the next four years. That reflected both Netflix’s position as the country’s leading streamer, with an estimated 6.5 million subscribers, and its adopted role as one of the biggest exporters of Korean film and TV content.
“We were able to make this [investment] decision because we have great confidence that the Korean creative industry will continue to tell great stories,” said the streamer’s co-chief Ted Sarandos at the time of the spending commitment.
