"The Big Journey: Around the World":
Before I start my review, I'll tell you a mini-story! It was during the day, there was nothing to do in +38 degrees, I was dying from the heat and the only place that saves me from the heat is the movie theater! So, one movie theater near my house was not working, because their electricity was cut off, I had to go to another movie theater and the closest thing there was this cartoon and I decided to go to it for free thanks to the Pushkin card, I even decided to take my mother with me just to laugh at the cringe. We got ready, went to the second shopping center near my house and went into the hall, well, and watched this journey! 7-10 minutes after the end of the session, the power in our shopping center was cut off and the evacuation began, hahahaha, so my mother and I finished watching it in time! And about the contingent in the hall, I will say this: there was a man of about 30 in the hall, he left the hall after 5 minutes of watching, then in the upper rows there were 7-8 guys of about 17-19 years old, maybe older, they all left the hall after 15-20 minutes of watching, well, until the end there were me and my mother and a guy with a girl of about 15-16 years old, or maybe older! Now about the cartoon! I did not see the previous sequel, but I checked out the prequel in the cinema in 2019, and I did not really dislike the first cartoon, but I had very strange feelings. On the one hand, I was 12-13 then and I basically liked the cartoon, but on the other hand, it had its downsides, like 2004-style graphics, some unfunny jokes, etc., but for me personally, it was still bearable, plus a stellar voice cast (Alexei Vorobyov, Philipp Kirkorov, Dmitry Nazarov* (recognized as a foreign agent of the Russian Federation), Maxim Galkin* (recognized as a foreign agent of the Russian Federation) and others), when the sequel came out, I was 16 and I basically wanted to go see it, so to speak, to find out if they fixed the graphics errors, if they made funnier jokes, etc., but I never got around to going to see the sequel, but this year, purely out of interest, I decided to go to see the third one and... First! The graphics have been improved, now they are not from 2004, but 2005 at the most, jokes aside, the most detailed models are the monkeys! Secondly, it turns out they brought back the wolf Janus and in the sequel, surprise, he was not there! Thirdly... WHAT ARE THESE VULTURES? No, of course I understand that they are probably the villains from the sequel, but in this part they team up with the snake (the villain). Well, and fourthly, why didn't they invite Kirkorov to voice Duke? Did he ask for a huge fee for the voice acting? But that's okay!
Since I mentioned the wolf Janus, in the third part he became afraid again... I'm shocked by how the creators didn't care that in the first film he overcame his fear, and in this part he falls every five minutes from every rustle, and it's presented as a joke!
The plot is not just secondary, but threefold, I understand that this is the only "successful" franchise of Rovensky at the moment, but as a viewer I am already tired of the same plot being repeated for the third time! Jokes are jokes, but at the end there is a hint of... QUADRIKVEL! If it comes out in 2026-2027 and in the end Oscar and that bunny will have a baby and it will be replaced again or someone will have a baby again and the baby will be replaced again, I will not be shocked by this, because this is expected anyway! The 86-minute runtime was normal, it did not fly by in one breath, somewhere it was even a bit boring, but in principle it was bearable! For the most part, my mom and I were laughing, laughing and having fun with the film again, just like we did at the screening of "The Biggest Moon", and the jokes in the cartoon, well, there are two or three normal ones, but they are like that, at most they make you smile, and unfortunately there were none that would make you laugh out loud! Either I grew up, or the scriptwriters didn't write in the screaming jokes, I'm for the second option!
As I wrote above, the graphics have been improved, they were already a-la 2005 maximum, somewhere they were normal, but somewhere I even saw jpg artifacts... The voice acting in the cartoon was good, but the soundtrack is not memorable, I didn't like it much.
As a result, "The Big Journey. Around the World" is just a normal, typical cartoon for 3 to 9 years old maximum, I think teenagers and adults will be bored with it!
I give the cartoon 6 out of 10, and as for watching / not watching, I can't say anything, that's up to you! If you're a fan of this franchise in principle (suddenly), then you won't see anything new, but still, something pleasant remains after watching! If you're not a fan of the franchise, you can safely pass by, better watch some decent cartoon! I admit that I slightly overestimated my rating, otherwise I would have given it 5, but I laughed heartily with my mother at the cringe that was happening on the screen, well, and I'm not a big fan in principle, but I'm probably a fan of Rovensky's cartoons! Whatever cartoon I watch from him, I'll definitely give it 6! It seems like nothing special, but something in them catches your attention! That's all for me!)
