Plot

Follows five families in Oak Bay, Oregon, who live on the same cul de sac, as they deal with the joys and stress of coming home for the holidays.

Each of the six houses in the Oaks, a cul-de-sac in the community of Oak Bay, Oregon, is occupied by a family ethnically and thus culturally different than the other five, most of those families longtime residents. Each family's story, both internally and in relation to the other five families, is told as family members who have moved away return for the Christmas and in one case Hanukkah holidays, many of those individuals who are keeping secrets which will affect the merriness of their time together.—Huggo
