    Out of the Blue

I agree totally with the previous reviewer. A story about Booth's mother seems to add nothing to the flow of the series. This is the eighth season and we only knew that the father was abusive. Her explanation doesn't hold much water, in my opinion. We'll see if she shows up again and has something to do with a case. When Brennan first meets her she throws the abandonment thing in the woman's face. She doesn't seem to have it in her to filter.

The case this time is interesting. A guy who works as a male stripper by night and a stockbroker by day, is found in a collapsed building at a construction site. One funny thing is the kid operating the power shovel, not knowing left from right as he is being yelled at. Eventually, the two conflicting jobs begin to cause problems for him.

    • Trivia
The song that Seeley and his mother dance is "The Continental", from the 1934 movie "The Gay Divorcee (1934)" . It was performed by Lillian Miles and was the first song ever to win the "Academy Award for Best Original Song".
    • Goofs
In the beginning of the episode, the young man operating the shovel picks up the body and drops it on the boss - his aunt. She is shown with the corpse on top of her and you can clearly see the skull and most of torso, while the workers help her get it off. But a little later in the lab at the Jeffersonian, the body and skull are in pieces and they say that it got dropped with a lot of debris from the demolition on top of it and they have to reconstitute it from scratch.
