This show would be as legendary for Xu Kai as Falling into your smile, or Arsenal Military Academy. His character, costumes, action scenes, and demeanour were simply perfect! He played a guy who was brave, considerate, loyal, super romantic and responsible, displaying every characteristic one ever wants to see in a male lead. As for Jing Tian, she looked super pretty and her acting was true to her character, appearing hot and cold, competitive, even with her love interest, but remaining loyal to him always. I read some comments saying the female lead appeared cold, and uncaring for the ML, but it could be justified seeing her background. She grew up without a mother, dressed up as a man, and trained as a soldier, trying to always hide her true identity, and was pitched against the Ml several times due to his being from a rival camp. Even though I understand the character and that she did complete justice to it, one would have loved to see her warmer towards the ML. The second leads were super cute and adorable, though I found it irritating that the second FL almost always made the FL angrier with the ML. The devotion of the second ML towards his girlfriend was amazing and so likeable. Overall, it was a very watchable show with characters who were human at the end of the day.

A must watch cdrama!

Adding a 40 episodes long cdrama to my cw list wasn't on my plans, but the promos of Wonderland of Love seemed really interesting. I also fully blame XuKai and his undeniable charm. I am glad I watched this drama because it's definitely a must if you enjoy historical romances interconnected with war and court politics.
This drama knows what it's doing. Half of it was about defeating the throne usurper. The next 10 episodes about court chess play to decide who will be the next Crown Prince and Princess. The final 10 episodes are all about trying to gain political stability and finishing off old enemies.
The development of each arc, with its respective main conflict, was amazing. I am content with how they handled every storyline. There are no victories without risks and some loses. Both leads's journey is really well done, cohesive, grounded and coherent to their respective personalities and wishes. Even a bigger bathtub... iyyk.
On this note, I have to thank whoever decided to cast Xu Kai and Jing Tian together because their chemistry is electrifying. There was never a doubt of my mind that their characters were meant for each other and would get their way. I also love to see a happy and affectionate couple that's not shy to show their love... or how hot they are for each other!
This is how I like my leads: two equals working together and communicating properly in order to achieve a common goal, while also learning from each other and growing as people together. They are also badass military savants, masters of the art of war, fearless and kind leaders. They have my loyalty and respect.
The secondary characters were equally endearing and interesting. I particularly appreciate the nuance of the former Crown Princess, forever torn between duty and what her heart wants. A wonderful performance by Zeng Li. The comedic timing and cool presence of performances from Jiang Kai, He Feng Tian and Zhu Hong Jia were a breath of fresh air.
I truly enjoyed this drama from beginning to end. I can't recommend it enough.

This was such an epic drama, what a masterpiece.
Wonderland of love, has an amazing script, well written characters, cool fight choreographies and beautiful music. Even the makeup and costumes are extraordinary and you can see the quality and the details in the designs.
The plots and stories are not repetitive, and very well paced, and will make you feel all kinds of emotions. Conflicts in this drama are resolved one by one and wont drag long. I am truly amazed for the amount of twists and different arcs the writer introduced in this drama being only 40 episodes long, it made it so enjoyable and you were unable to stop watching until the end.
I have to make special mention for episode 30, when you watch it come back and you will understand why. That episode is an absolute work of art on its own, and you can feel every emotion imaginable watching the last few scenes. The music, the direction , the acting were just pure magic, powerful and so deeply heartbreaking, it will be difficult to forget.
Xu Kai is growing a lot as an actor and this might be his best work yet. Did great on the dramatic and emotional scenes and carried the last episodes almost by himself. Very good range changing from his comic side, romantic/sweet/tender and then imposing aggressive soldier.
He had great chemistry with his co star Jing Tian, who I didn't watch since Rattan and Did great as the cold and brave Captain He.
Fantastic (long) satisfying ending as well. So go and watch it, you won't regret it.

A MUST WATCH!! ??????
Okay!! First of all... i love Xu Kai. I'm not being biased now, I'm going to be straight with you. This is one of the best dramas so far. The chemistry between Li Ni and Cui Lin is WOW!!.. FABULOUS!!!!. You'd think they're a real couple outside the drama. The story line was straight to the point, no unnecessary stretchs and their love was so mature and sweet, you'd want to get into a relationship because of them. And the song was beautiful.. perfect for the drama.. i don't know the director or writer but God bless you for this masterpiece!!!.. I can't wait to see what Xu Kai has in store for us next. Oh! And the bromance in the group. ... FABULOUS!! You would feel every emotion, both the sad, happy and even jealousy. It was amazing!!!!

One of the best C-dramas I have ever watched! From the story, plot, production, customes, casts, the theme songs, and of course, the ML and FL, they are all great!!! The chemistry between Xu Kai and Jing Tian is on the highest level! I love watching their cuteness and sweetness on and off cam! And I wish that they are dating in real life🤞🙏..it's hard to move on from them thus, i am watching it the 2nd time around! I really dont understand why it's not as popular as those C-dramas who are only over rated but are not really good to watch.. I highly recommended this
