  Rebekah Mikaelson : And what if you can't? I mean, he is stronger than you. You know, I can help you. You want the cure off the table, and I wanna take it. We could work together.

  Elena Gilbert : Work together? Don't you hate me?

  Rebekah Mikaelson : I hated the moral, self-righteous version of you. But this one's not so bad. Maybe it's your new haircut.

  Elena Gilbert : Do you even remember what it's like to be human? Weak. Fragile. Why would you wanna go back to that?

  Rebekah Mikaelson : Because some day I want a family... of my own.

  Elena Gilbert : [takes sip from glass]  And that's exactly why I don't want your help.

  Elena Gilbert : The best part of having no emotions is that I can think rationally. I'll do whatever it takes to get this done. You're the opposite. A pile of neuroses, insecurities, hopes and dreams. You're basically one big emotional variable that I just don't really need.

  Rebekah Mikaelson : [sighs]  You just made me miss the old Elena.
