An Enjoyable Movie
anohso12125 November 2023
Over the past few years I have been thankful for Nollywood movies because they allow me to enjoy an all Black cast without the script being about thuggery. I have been put off African-American made movies in recent years because I can't stand to hear my beautiful Black people calling themselves the N-word and the B-word and behaving as if gangsterism is what we are about. Still Here has renewed my faith in African-Americans because it showcases that Black people can deliver a thrilling movie, with depth and class. The writing was top-notch, the acting was convincing and the plot was well paced and leaves you satisfied in the end. So a big thank you to Chris Stokes for this wonderful production. I look forward to his other projects.

Don't waste your time

Worst movie I've seen in a while. Acting, writing, directing, production, sound production - all felt like a cliche soap opera in the most horrible ways. How do you even score a movie this poorly? Being sick is the only reason I finished watching this. I thought even Tubi could do better than this.

Alone as a drama this is cringeworthy, but then add in the ghost element? I guess if you have nearly 2 hours to waste, it's a good laugh. This easily goes on my worst movies list. These actors have done other things, so they must know how bad this turned out. It's embarrassing. Still doesn't beat Dracula 3000 for worst movie ever.

Good movie worth watching.

The movie is a thriller with good acting and strong character development. The characters looked like real people not a hot mess like in many Tubi movies. They did a good job of allowing viewers to see the dynamic of the two main characters; as well as how things unraveled. They did an excellent job of not leaving loose ends. The movie was intriguing with a clever plot. The characters were very evolved at some moments you will love them & others you will hate them. It was refreshing that the movie had a clear beginning, middle and end which is rare these days. The only thing that could have been better is if they had shown how he and his friend the bartender became so close.

The Black Gone Girl

Warning: Spoilers
Fantastic movie with a nice build up. I personally really enjoyed it from beginning to end! The acting, writing, camera work, editing was great. As we know psychological thrillers tend to borrow storylines of other critically acclaimed movies and this one is no different. Narcissistic man meets his dream women, love bombs her, they get married quickly then after awhile he gets apathetic to the marriage and begins to cheat for seamingly no reason. This probably sounds familiar...That's because the plot is very reminiscent of the David Fincher movie "Gone Girl". If you were a fan of that I'd recommend checking this one out.
