Lila is an accomplished liar. This evil talent has allowed her to be loved by all, and even to be hired by Gabriel Agreste. But Marinette and Adrien's growing closer pushes the boy's father to name Kagami as the new face of his brand, enraging Lila. She uses an incident in class to call for new elections in order to replace Marinette as class representative. But the campaign goes wrong, much to Monarch's delight. Lila is a skilled liar and she has conned three women into believing them she is their daughter. Lila thinks she has it all, but ever since Marinette and Adrien have grown closer, Gabriel names Kagami as the new brand of his fashion line. Lila becomes furious at Gabriel and she blames Marinette for her problems. Lila decides to usurp Marinette's position as class representative. At the cafeteria, Marinette and Adrien try to tell Alya and Nino the truth about Lila, but they still don't believe them. In Miss Bustier's class, Lila accuses Marinette for calling her an idiot and she leaves the classroom, Miss Bustier forces Marinette to apologize to Lila. Monarch akumatizes Lila into Hoaxer and she brainwashes everyone into believing Marinette is Monarch. Adrien tries to stop his classmates and his teacher, but they proceed to find Marinette. Ivan and Mylene help Adrien find Marinette before someone gets to her. Adrien turns into Cat Noir to stop Hoaxer. Ladybug and Cat Noir take off Roger's alliance ring and he is freed of his brainwashing. Hoaxer frames Ladybug and Cat Noir for being aliens from outer space. During Cat Noir's mêlée with the brainwashed Parisians, Hoaxer manipulates Nathalie to send her all of Garbriel's secrets, which she sends to Lila's phone. Ladybug traps Alya and she releases her from her brainwashing. Marinette gives Alya her miraculous, so she can appeal to Lila. Marinette arrives to calm Lila down and she pretends to make peace with her, causing Lila to reject her megakuma. Adrien apologizes to Marinette for not taking action against Lila and he starts to regret not being able to expose her lies. Marinette assures Adrien that he thought he was doing the right thing, the two realize that Lila and Chloe have gotten worse. Marinette tells Adrien that they will expose Lila eventually and he comforts his girlfriend. In Miss Bustier's class, Lila has become the new class representative and she has elected Chloe as her deputy. Alya tries to tell Marinette that Lila is a nice person, but Marinette still feels betrayed by her friends and knowing that no one believes her about Lila's true nature. Marinette reveals to Alya that she is letting Lila have her way until she can prove to everyone what kind of person Lila really is. In a post-credit scene, Lila destroys her alliance ring and she gets her phone from her locker. Lila has obtained all of Gabriel's secrets and she vows to steal his miraculous.
