Marinette decides to have a heart-to-heart with the father of the boy she loves. By seeing her courage her friend Kagami finally dares talk to her mother.

Convinced that Gabriel's coldness towards her stems from a misunderstanding, Marinette decides to have a heart-to-heart with the father of the boy she loves... and her outstanding courage inspires her friend Kagami. She too would love to open the door to her ever-commanding mom's heart. Alas, the conversation comes to a sudden end when an unexpected guest returns and spirits Kagami away. Who is this mysterious guest? Will Ladybug and Cat Noir save Kagami? And will Marinette and Adrien ever have a chance to love each other freely?

Marinette finally gains the courage to stand up to Gabriel after she refuses to give up her love for Adrien. Marinette goes up to Adrien's room and she successfully declares her love for Adrien, he embraces his girlfriend. Marinette leaves Agreste mansion and she calmly tells Gabriel that his pancake recipe is outdated. Elsewhere, Kagami tries to tell her mother that she doesn't love Adrien anymore, but Tomoe refuses to listen to her. Argos soon crashes the Tsurugi car into a lamp post and he captures Kagami. Tomoe get akumatized by Monarch into Matagi Gozen, in order to find Felix and Kagami. Inside the top of the Eiffel Tower, Argos transforms back and he reveals to Kagami that he was saving her from her mother, but she remains incredulous. Ladybug and Cat Noir arrive to stop the Matagi clones and Argos takes Kagami to safety by throwing Tomoe off her trail. Felix and Kagami hide in the sewers, he reveals to Kagami that his late father was a thousand times worse than Tomoe. Ladybug and Cat Noir arrive to help Kagami and they allow Felix to flee from Matagi Gozen. Ladybug and Cat Noir deakumatize Tomoe, she is given a new magical charm. Tomoe forces Kagami to relinquish her ring, which she reluctantly does. At the Agreste kitchen, Gabriel allows Adrien to enjoy his time with Marinette because he plans on sending him to London when the school year is over. Adrien becomes devastated over this revelation and he heads to his room. Nathalie becomes furious at Gabriel for separating Adrien from Marinette. Adrien video chats with Marinette, but he is unable to tell her about his departure. In a post-credit scene, Kagami meets Felix at the movie theater and he gives her back her real ring.
