Speaking to People, Cherry, who portrayed Nick Daley, the son of Ben Stiller's Larry, sang high praises of his Night at the Museum co-star. "[Ben] was really, the best way to put it is, just a normal guy," Cherry said. "One of my core memories – he showed me a Tenacious D music video, and he has a cameo in it. And he was so hyped that he was in this cameo… so just stuff like that. I got to see him as just like a normal person. There was no mask or anything like that."
Based on Milan Trenc's 1993 children's book, Night at the Museum premiered in 2006 and quickly established itself as a fan-favorite, family-friendly comedy. The film starred Stiller as Larry Daley, a night-shift security guard at the American Museum...

Comedy would not be where it is today if not for the effervescent presence of Ben Stiller in Hollywood. The actor and comedian has been a stalwart figure in the genre, helping land every film after its release and turning it into a modern-day classic.

In the decades past, classics like Night at the Museum, Zoolander, Tropic Thunder, and Meet the Parents have had Stiller’s initials branded on the labels. The films turned into a trove of creative projects that are irreplaceable and irreplicable in their value and worth. And Ben Stiller has been at the center of them all.

Ben Stiller is one of the most notable comedic talents of his generation. He is known for his ability to shine in goofy films, such as The Night at the Museum, Dodgeball, or Meet the Parents. The comedian is also known for his work in front of and behind the camera. He made his directorial feature debut in 1994 with the romantic comedy Reality Bites, which was part of his claim to fame. After Reality Bites, Stiller directed other movies and TV episodes, including The Cable Guy and Tropic Thunder.
Stiller's comedies have also gotten sequels fairly often. Meet the Parents, for example, was followed up by Meet the Fockers, which then became a trilogy with the 2010 film Little Fockers. It's now expected to have a fourth installment, with Stiller expected to return. Night at the Museum is also a comedy trilogy, beginning with the 2006 film and ending with Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb...

Dan Stevens may have risen to fame from his role as Matthew Crawley on Downton Abbey, but he became even more well-known for his work in genre fare and big-budget blockbusters such as The Guest, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, and the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast. After co-creator Justin Roiland was fired from Solar Opposites in early 2023, many were wondering who would become the new voice of the series' snarky and often maniacal alien Korvo. Stevens was announced to be taking over the role only two months before Season 4, and breathed new life into the character, making the voice his own instead of trying to replicate what Roiland did before.

Ahead of the release of "Cuckoo," I asked Dan Stevens in an interview where his character, Herr König, ranked in his roster of "freaky lil' weirdos." Instead of being a terrible parent and admitting which child is the gold star, he took the more diplomatic route. "I mean, I love all my weird little freaks equally," he says. "I couldn't possibly put them in order, but he's definitely up there in terms of how fun they were to play, largely because of the environment that was created." I can't argue with the answer and I respect his refusal to play favorites, but I am not Dan Stevens, and therefore, I have no qualms about highlighting all of my favorite weird performances of his, and ranking them so as to appease the almighty algorithm that requires such things. This is by no means a definitive list, but 10 of his absolute finest.

You won’t regret picturing this: it’s a tranquil day at the British Museum, and out of nowhere, you’re swept into a burst of laughter as Hugh Jackman leaps into an impromptu Wolverine performance in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.

If you’re like me, you spend a lot of August yelling “Summer is over!” to your nearest and dearest — and they don’t take kindly to that. Summer TV is in its twilight, while fall premieres loom on the horizon after the Emmy Awards on September 15.
But summer is not over, and there’s plenty of new titles to stream in the Disney bundle. Disney+ will premiere new Star Wars and “Winnie the Pooh” titles for kids, as well as the original series “Are You Sure?!” following BTS’s Jimin and Jung Kook. Hulu will become home to “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” “The Woman King,” “Smile,” and more movie titles, as well as the home for FX series — this month: “The New York Times Presents: Lie to Fly: Documentary Premiere.” Hulu originals “Solar Opposites” returns on August 12, and “Reasonable Doubt” for its second season starting August...

Visual effects company Rearden has settled one of the last remaining lawsuits over the unlicensed use of its motion-capture technology by major Hollywood studios, this time with Paramount.
Both sides on Monday moved to dismiss the lawsuit, which accused Paramount of infringing on Rearden’s VFX software called Mova Contour in the 2015 film Terminator Genisys, according to a court filing. With the move, Rearden draws to a close a legal blitz on studios that it started in 2017 when it filed blockbuster complaints demanding courts block the release of several films from Disney, Fox and Paramount that featured characters made with the stolen tech.
The agreement follows Rearden last month reaching deals to resolve identical lawsuits involving use of Mova in Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Deadpool, Fantastic Four and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. Terms of the settlements weren’t disclosed.

Avengers, re-assemble!
Variety has reported that Shawn Levy, reliable director of “Night at the Museum,” “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian,” and “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” is “in the mix” to helm the next “Avengers” superhero team-up for Marvel. In late July, his promised-to-be-potty-mouthed R-rated “Deadpool & Wolverine” will hit theaters and, clearly, Marvel’s leader, Kevin Feige, liked what he saw.
Marvel is in desperate need of a course correction after some wobbly entries like “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” “The Marvels,” and “Thor: Love and Thunder.” There was once a time when the Marvel opening logo was enough to print money and create cultural resonance, but those days have begun to wane, due in part to a glut of Disney+ streaming shows and the fact that “Avengers: Endgame” really did seem like a nice place to end the story. Dan Stevens is a busy man. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire landed in theaters at the end of March, where Stevens played charming leading man Trapper, then anarchic horror Abigail arrived hot on its heels in April. Next up, August brings strange horror/sci-fi Cuckoo, which sees Stevens playing a deranged scientist. Between press tours, festivals, and new projects, he’s got a lot going on. And we get the sense he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Describing himself as an “experience hound,” Stevens is a man who thrives on challenges. He began his career in theater, made it big as tragic heartthrob Matthew Crawley in British drama Downton Abbey, and has genre-hopped ever since, from action-thriller The Guest, to playing Sir Lancelot in family fun Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. It’s been less than 12 years since Dan Stevens raised a middle finger to the British aristocracy, quitting “Downton Abbey” as the show neared its Emmy-amassing zenith and setting sail for America with his family. As he admits, he had “absolutely no idea” what was going to happen to him.

Director Shawn Levy may have teased a potential battle between Deadpool and the Hulk in the MCU back in a 2021 social media post. Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Mark Ruffalo, are all regular collaborators with Shawn Levy, so it's possible they could all return in Deadpool & Wolverine. Mark Ruffalo's Hulk appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine could adapt one of Marvel Comics' most iconic and memorable battles.
Marvel Studios' biggest upcoming battle might have already been teased by the director of Deadpool & Wolverine. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will be joining the MCU as Wade Wilson's Deadpool and James "Logan" Howlett's Wolverine in the Shawn Levy-directed Deadpool & Wolverine, which is set to release on July 26, 2024, as part of the McU's Phase 5. Levy has previously worked with both Reynolds and Jackman, the latter on 2011's Real Steel and 2014's Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, and the former on Levy's most recent projects,...

Thomas Lennon voices Teddy Roosevelt in Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again, honoring Robin Williams' legacy. Lennon's distinctive voice brings a stately and presidential quality to Teddy Roosevelt's character. Night at the Museum fans will always remember Robin Williams' final scene, a tear-jerking and inspirational moment that brings hope and happiness.
Teddy Roosevelt is a recurring character in the Night at the Museum film franchise, and in Night At The Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again a new actor replaces the late, great Robin Williams in the role. If "Rocky" is for Boomers and Gen-Xers and "Creed" is for Millennials, then what is the boxing film of choice for Generation Z? One could argue it's "Real Steel." Yes, really.
Released in 2011, the Hugh Jackman-led sci-fi film is loosely based on "Steel," a short story written by Richard Matheson in the 1950s and one that was previously adapted into an episode of "The Twilight Zone" in 1963. Yet, the film itself was very much meant for families -- including then kiddie-aged Gen-Zers -- when it opened in theaters. It would proceed to top the charts on Netflix almost a decade later when the world was on lockdown in 2020, at which point it became apparent just how much of a lasting imprint Jackman's surprisingly heartfelt boxing robots flick had left on the public's consciousness.
Directed by Shawn Levy, "Real Steel" takes place in an alternate future where, instead of people...

That summer of 2022, the walled coastal French town of Saint-Malo got a taste of Hollywood, with “Stranger Things” director-executive producer Shawn Levy running up and down the windy beach, fiercely determined to shoot crucial scenes of his World War II-set Netflix series “All the Light We Cannot See.”
It wasn’t over-the-top action that Levy was hyped about, but rather an intimate father-daughter moment portrayed by Mark Ruffalo and newcomer Aria Mia Loberti, who plays Marie-Laure, a courageous blind teenager living in Nazi-occupied France.
Loberti, who is a Ph.D. student in rhetoric at Penn State, was discovered through a worldwide casting call for actors who are blind or visually impaired. In “All the Light We Cannot See,” Marie (as she’s called in the series) crosses paths with Werner (Louis Hofmann), a conflicted young German soldier hired for his radio tech skills, who is willing to challenge orders. This week’s highly anticipated Rick and Morty season 7 premiere, “How Poopy Got His Poop Back,” saw the return of fan-favorite characters Mr. Poopybutthole, Birdperson, Gearhead, and Squanchy, as they try to stage an intervention and inadvertently get riggity-riggity-wrecked with Hugh Jackman. Not a person impersonating Hugh Jackman like they did Ice T in the early seasons, but The Hugh Jackman as a fictionalized version of himself, depicted as a frat boy party animal. In every circumstance, this would be a hysterical cameo if not for the fact that the Wolverine actor has been getting his claws into adult animation for the past several years. Jackman has wholly gotten into his silly voice-acting bag, and I’m here for it.

The 2023 Goosebumps reboot features a mix of familiar faces and relatively unknown actors as its main characters. Justin Long, known for comedic roles, plays the strange and unhinged Mr. Bratt, who is possessed by the ghost of Harold Biddle. Rachael Harris, a comedy veteran, takes on the role of Nora, a guilt-ridden mother, while Rob Huebel plays the understanding guidance counselor, Colin.
While 2023’s Goosebumps reboot features a couple of familiar faces, some of the show’s main characters are played by relatively unknown cast members. The Goosebumps franchise began as a series of successful children’s horror novels in the ‘90s. The success of R.L. Stine's Goosebumps books inevitably spawned a TV adaptation, and that show became a starting point for future stars. Ryan Gosling famously appeared in an episode of Goosebumps long before he was famous. 2015 also saw the arrival of a live-action Goosebumps movie starring Dylan Minnette,...

At 5’2, Mickey Rooney may have been small in stature, but he had a huge personality and was one of the biggest stars in the heyday of the Golden Era of Hollywood. He had one of the longest careers of any entertainer, with a body of work that spans nine decades in the industry, including vaudeville, films, television, radio and the stage.
Rooney was born Joe Yule, Jr. on September 23, 1920, in Brooklyn, New York. At 17 months old, he made his stage debut in his parent’s vaudeville act, and made his motion picture debut in 1926. In 1927, he starred in the first of several short films in the “Mickey Maguire” series, and adopted the stage name “Mickey Rooney.” He made 78 of these comedies, and also received great notices in films such as “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (1935). Solar Opposites season 4 sees a major change with Dan Stevens replacing Justin Roiland as Korvo, the show's narrator and alien with a distaste for humans. Thomas Middleditch joins the cast as Terry, the laid-back alien partner of Korvo, while Sean Giambrone plays Yumyulack, a cunning and prank-loving scientist alien. Mary Mack, Christina Hendricks, Kieran Culkin, and Christopher Meloni also join the cast, bringing a talented and diverse range of actors to the new season of Solar Opposites.

The cast of The Resort is an eclectic mix of major stars and recognizable faces that help to make the Peacock original series such a compelling show. The Resort follows a couple on their Mayan Riviera vacation at the Oceana Vista resort who gets wrapped up in a mystery that involves disappearances from years past. Eschewing the typical approach to its mystery story, The Resort deftly blends humor into its narrative for an engrossing mixture of tension and laughs. Though very much plot-driven, the show also put its emphasis on its characters which not only made it more interesting but more engaging as well.

There’s nothing quite like when HBO is airing one of its trademark watercooler-worthy dramas weekly. Thankfully, we’ll get to it experience exactly that and more on HBO Max in March 2023.
The big ticket item on HBO Max this March is undoubtedly Succession Season 4 on March 26. Part prestige drama and part screwball comedy, Succession is about as fun a watch as they come. Season 4 of the series about egregious wealth will find the Roy siblings reeling after trying and failing to take down their father, Logan (Brian Cox).
HBO Max’s other major TV option this month is another weekly release from HBO. Matthew Rhys returns as the titular lawyer in Perry Mason Season 2 on March 6. Season 1 of this period piece reboot flexed the classic TV character’s detective skills. From the look of the trailer, it seems as though this is the year Perry makes his name in the court room.

Disney still faces the prospect of losing proceeds from Beauty and the Beast, which has grossed 1.26 billion.
