Casablanca

This episode goes a bit deeper as we stop off in Casablanca. Being somebody who knows the real, tragic side of a tourist area, I believe this was a good narrative to tell, but obviously it does make for a sadder instalment. The background history of a crew member adds a touch of optimism and of course the end song scenes reminds us there's life after death and we shouldn't get bogged down by reality all the time. Whilst there isn't a massive arc across the season, it is worth watching the editions in order to fully appreciate the characters' developing interactions. We're really enjoying this run so far.

Charity worker Suhani Summers learns that her good work has been undone, by an employee who's embezzled funds, as Tha Ship docks in Casablanca, Sunahni is round dead, and a young local boy named Omar is blamed.

This represented a definite step up in terms of quality, much better than the first two episodes, yes it's still light, fluffy, Sunday teatime viewing, but there was a slightly more gritty edge to it, and unlike the first two, it wasn't glaringly obvious whodunnit here, there was at least a sense of mystery.

A much better story for Jamil, he's been an interesting character, but very much on the fringes, he was more at the forefront if this one.

I've always dreamed of going to Morocco, it looks stunning, you have to credit this series for the variety of locations.
