This was a fast moving episode but it really felt like family guy craziness that I haven't seen in a while. The plot is simple, but the way the story is told breaks into so many fragments of hilarity that the laughs genuinely caught me off guard.
I like that the main plot wasn't based entirely on the main family as well, and not in the way that seemed like they were just trying to make one specific joke land at the end of the show in the forced way that's been done before.
This season so far has been great, and I think this is one show that still pulls its weight, but this episode really stuck out for me as feeling very uniquely "family guy".
