Warms & breaks your heart

This is very much a tragic love story - in the Greek sense. I read a critic review available on here that completely bashed the show and called it a waste of time and I can't lie, I was very disheartened and almost dropped the show because if it.

I am however, very happy that I decided to watch it. The plot is nothing extraordinary but it does have suspense and a few interesting twists. This show talks about love, loss, morals, children, welfare as well as regret. It truly warms the heart and shows how people are not necessarily born in their family, they choose it. It analyzes relationships on multiple levels and really shows that even the good ones have a past and it might not pretty to look at.

Overall, I do highly recommend the show. It made me want to fall in love again and really put into perspective the complexity of humans and the importance of conveying thoughts and feelings.

Not Terrible
elc20059 February 2024
I thought the premise and the acting was pretty good. The "whodunnit" was well guarded.

Complaints 1) the cinematography is that of a 2000s kdrama 2) I want the sound director/editor arrested for not knowing how to transition music between scenes.

3) The drama director can go too for having the male actor cry like a goofball during what should have been really touching scenes. Dramatic lines delivered as comedy was super cringe.

4) The last episode... I get why Naoki wanted the cop around, but why in heck was Yui not trying to spend every last single moment ALONE with Naoki instead of all that other jive.

5) The big reveal SCENE took too long to play out. It was painfully and obviously drawn out. The audience knew, the characters knew, but spending almost a whole episode in one spot just to hear some words... Could've been better.

What I did like was the Yui was not a weak, timid, adultchild which I've seen in the few J Dramas ive watched. It was refreshing and I hope to see more female characters that don't just exist serve a man in a show.

If you're loving each other, and the one is by your side, it's great.

The drama contains romance, mystery and comic. When I watching it, I cried, laughed and sometimes felt nervous. I won't say the one made a how profound impact on me. But now, I watched it just now. My boyfriend and I love each other. Even though he is in the USA and I am in Japan, there's huge distance between us, but he's there that's enough. If you love someone just say it. Of course there're various regrets in life. But only the love, once you try your best you won't leave regrets behind you. If your love besides you, cherish him or her please. Why didn't I tell you I love you for 1 millions times? The ending, no matter how many times I tell you I love you, it's never enough. I wanna say it forever and ever. -this feeling I really know. I think even though the drama doesn't tell other profound things. But it lets me to cherish my love, it's the meaning.

Seems Like I Have Seen This Before - DeJa Vu
PalmBeachG30 January 2024
Was having DeJa Vu while watching "Why Didn't I Tell You A Million Times". My 1 star is not reflective of the actors but the unoriginality of the theme/script as it is quite reminiscent of the movie Ghost with top stars Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore from 1990, and also the final for a moment there I thought we were going to have another Dallas ending from 1985 and glad it didn't turn out that way however it seems that suggestion was borrowed from that drama as well. Just because that successful movie and drama was from 34-35 years ago, I would rather see a theme that is more original in 2024. So 1 star. That's how I see it. Final lesson is don't waste a moment with the one you love and make sure you tell them you love them.

#TellYouAMillionTimes #WhyDidntITellYou.
