Don't miss it!!

You might feel that its been copied from the blockbuster series Panchayat, which is not true in actual. It is heard that dakghor has been scripted far before panchayat released.

Anyways coming to the core, this is a feel good series which has been beautifully directed by Abhrajit Sen and written by Padmanabha Dasgupta. It is so heart warming show.

The Cinematography, Shaan is amazing and so is the cast. The lead, Suhotra Mukhopadhyay is brilliant. Kanchan Mullick and Ditipriya Roy both played terrific. Korak Samanta played equally well.

This has taken the bengali series to the next level. Highly recommended!

Beautifully narrated simple story

Dakghor is really one of a kind Bengali series as non such has been made till now of my knowledge. It is a very simple, heart warming, comic story. It has so much originality in it. Loved watching it!

The story revolves around a Post-office (as the name suggests) and it's postmaster. His past life, his current life, some struggles, his romance, and the importance of messages and postcards in our life. It shows how beautifully knit our lives are and how much happy we all can be living together.

I would recommend binge watching the series. Thank you to the director, story writer, and the production house along with all the actors and actresses who brought about such a fantastic series.

Fantastic story carrying beautiful message

Dakghor - A story which is simple yet very powerful. The story is unique but on the other hand is very relatable. A simple story but it has a strong message.

The story is about a Post Office in rural West bengal and a Post master who hails from a semi urban place and is posted in this rural place. The series beautifully portrays the journey of the post master, his understanding of rural life, his past life , and how situations lead him to change his whole perspective about Life in total. The series also helps in making the audience understand the importance of messages, postcards, inland letters and brings back the nostalgia which is somewhere forgotten now a days. The other thing which makes the story relatable is the depiction of the small yet important parts of rural life such as unity among villagers, the ease with which they accept a stranger and make him one of them.

This is a must watch and is a great family entertainer. Ditipriya Roy, Suhotra Mukhopadhyay and Kanchan Mallick have done a great job in making their characters lively and relatable. Ditipriya's command over the diction used is commendable. Suhotra as always has delivered a strong performance and Kanchan Mallik with his superb sense of comic timing makes the whole series enjoyable. Kudos to the whole cast and crew who have put in tremendous effort to deliver this pure bliss.

Overall a great series to binge watch and have a joyous time with your family.

After a long time , Hoichoi gives us a pure and lovely series. A series made with love. No vulgarity, no so called series. You can watch with your family. Simple story with a deep message. Need season 2 for it. Overall all characters are depicted perfectly to their role. How a letter brings change to our life it shows here.

Definitely this "Dakghor " will take Bengali series to its next level.

Very average and Poorly written

Very average web series. Full of nonsense scenes. I believe makers don't have village roots. They don't understand village life at all. Most of the actors acting like stereotypes villegers. Few scenes are too idiotic.

Most horrible things of the films is diolouges. Mori gelo, Choli gelo, aicho, jaicho sounds like very idiotic, doesn't feel real. For reference you should watch birohi.

Protagonist came from hooghly in this movie, but actor didn't spend a single day in hooghly in his entire life, I think. He is speaking pure and fluent Kolkata's bengali in all the films.

If you're are making any second editions or similar kind of series, please spend some time on village before. Sitting on kolkata, you can't write authentic village life.
