There's a massive four plot lines going on here but only two of them are actually any good.Well, maybe three and a half.Casey's prison bully storyline is a bit dull on paper but rises above the clichéd material and one-dimensional villains thanks to some decent acting from Lincoln Younes.Meanwhile, Jett having a crush on Indi sounds good on paper but falls flat because of Jett's rather mean-spirited behaviour and the utterly crushing dullness of Romeo and Indi. It's really hard to take Romeo's "quiet word" with Jett seriously.
Which brings us on to the good stuff.Celia's behaviour becomes ever more mysterious:By the end of the episode, the viewer and Alf have got an inkling of what she's up to but not why, although it is guessable. Fiona Spence deserves a lot of credit for making Celia's behaviour thoroughly credible.
Meanwhile, we get the introduction of the engaging Rosie, who's nicely quirky but also feels like a real person with insecurities underneath it all.If you ignore the rather tired plot device of Sasha being kept down a year, their friendship could be fun.
