The Challenge bringing back the drama!
spambunny-702163 April 2023
Let's face it: the flagship Challenge has been on a hard decline ever since Season 32-33. With The Challenge: World Championship, the drama and OG competitors are back and better than ever. A lot more political talk, fighting, bullying, which is what we LOVE to see. It's so boring when the competitors get along, because there's no conflict or tension. In this season, there is plenty of that. The challenges themselves have been super interesting and fun to watch, too.

Ignore the people who are complaining that there is "too much drama" and "not enough competition" because that's entirely untrue. The house politics is what the show was built on, so if you're not trying to see that then go watch some Sunday Night Football instead.

Worst competition show ever.

Nauseating. Combined episodes 1 and 2, with a run time of 70:24 had about 20 minutes of actual competition. The rest was Twitter-level narcissistic regurgitation, dramatic "DUNDUNDUN!"s, and the host repeating himself over and over and over... "Is that your final decision?" cut-away "Like, oh.. Mah god! I can't believe it!" back to host "Is that your final decision?" cut-away "I can't believe they picked her, like ermagerd!!!" back to host "Are you positive?"

Watching this show is agonizing. The competitors are almost all kind-of revolting people. The dramatic music and sound effects are really pathetic. If you enjoy listening to idiots debate who they are going to choose for whatever needlessly convoluted BS is about to eventually happen, for 10 times longer than the actual time allotted to that BS, then this show is for you.

Garbage TV.

Vets setup for demise!
opinionated-2666319 August 2023
Six vets, seven survivors, nine big brothers, and two amazing race participants. What is wrong with this picture? After watching recent episodes, it seems very obvious the vets are set up to be eliminated. In my opinion, if the vets are eliminated, the show is a waste of time. They have always carried the show and without them, the show will lack the entertainment and drama expected. I recently watched all prior episodes on Paramount, except for 33,34 and 35, with all the up's and downs, the good, the bad and the ugly and looked forward to 2023. Survivors and Big Brother are notorious for ganging up against the vets. Why not equal numbers. So far, I find this presentation and format mix a real pathetic tossup of "let's gang up and screw the vets." Maybe they will pull through with the heavy odds against them, they have done so in the past, but 6 against a possible 18 just doesn't seem fair. Sure, not all 18 are anti-vet, but that focus is already in play!
