Its a good movie with tight screenplay and technique. Found footage genre with excellent taking - at least for a new comer. It has its own flaws in the editing and sound recording. The movie was released world over with Zingreel, and it is first of its kind for a movie made in India. A tribute to Canon 5D and 7D cameras. The final moment is there to excite you. The characters of the 3 friends who go missing in the movie should have been established in such a way that the key point in the story has a justification. An effort worth appreciation and a 7* rating from me... just after watching the movie. Recommend it for its courage and long live Canon 5D.

I have to appreciate this film for what it is. This is the first found footage movie in Tollywoood. I am glad that it turned to be good. With a proper budget and better actors the Director would have given us a much polished end product, which would have been counted t]on par with Ratri (RGV). Kudos to the sound engineer, due to his fantastic work the movie has leaped from being a B grade to A grade. Again let me remind you of the bad actors and terrible dialogues. The locations and camera work and a tight screenplay did elevate the movie. The plot derives the main theme from Blair witch project, but still adding the desi feel to it made it watchable. As for me i didn&#39;t think the ending didn&#39;t live upto the expectations and deviated from the main plot. But for some it worked, so its pure choice.I really wish more found footage movies are made in Tollywood with quality so we can have off beat horror movies like this. The Director and the Sound dept should be given more chances to prove themselves. Myself being a horror genre fan, i really liked it. There were very silly moments where you may laugh at it, but again you will be captured back into the movie. Watch it for what it is. (Keeping in mind its the first attempt with a micro budget and with new comers you will love it)

Case no 666/2103 is the first ever &quot;found footage&quot; film ever in Telugu cinema. By Telugu cinema standards, this is a breakthrough film in every sense of the word, the 14 year time lapse notwithstanding! For that reason alone we need to raise a toast to the filmmakers for attempting to do something that&#39;s never been done before and they have done a decent job of it (except for the climax) as well. The film packs in some genuine spook factor as well. The film opens without any opening credits to accentuate that illusion of reality. We have a TV reporter who is assigned the job of getting to bottom of the case of a three friends who&#39;ve gone missing from a guest house in Narsapur forests. Simultaneously the characters are introduced establishing their relations with each other, in a series of non-linear flashbacks taking us through how the three friends decide to take a challenge thrown by their rather peculiar neighbor. Once they reach the guest house the thrills start kicking in. Strange rustling noises, bizarre guffaws, a woman in white sari, strange paraphernalia tied to the trees, hints of chetabadi (black magic) utter darkness and nights shots of the friends lost in the woods shot in torch lights . . . all come together to heighten the fear factor incrementally despite never actually sowing the ghost per se! But then the climax comes as a bit of dampener, sort of chickening back into the stereotypical Tollywood mold. There is no acting for a change. It is all very mundane and the writing has this endearing ordinariness to it that adds to the experience. The sound design is another highlight of the film. Visually the movie seems like a celebration of low production values and is presented in the form of a home video format deliberately. But what the hell, the end product is still pretty engaging. It is the cinema technique that stands out more than anything else.
