a man. his dog...

A man. his dog. the ants. a house. in desert. and a storm. that seems be all. because the story is suggested to the public by cinematography and music. and the posibilities to grow up of significances of image are many. maybe, too many, for seduce a large public. for a dog lover, it is the right choice this film. for the fans of Sci Fi - a decent short film. for atmosphere - it is a real good job. because it seems like a Rubick cube. many faces. and colors.mixed.

Enjoyable with a Likable Character

I hope this doesn't ruin anything, but there are no monsters jumping out of the dog's stomach or a teenage girl with a bunch of mascara and razor sharp teeth. What there is is some nice suspense built up through the setting. Alone in the desert, an outdoorsy man is building a little house. He is with his aging dog, Jet. During the night, there is a loud bump and havoc ensues. I thought that the director and writer had this one under control and it is a nicely done short film.

Excellent short

For what could have been a simplistic and drab story, P.J. Wolff creates a powerful experience in just a few minutes. Personally, I feel the music was a nice subtle touch to the mood that was building throughout. P.J. Wolff did an excellent job at leaving the interpretation of the story to the viewer, while giving you just enough information to move the story forward and engage the audience. I hope to see more films by P.J. Wolff.
