So far, very faithful to the books

I've always wanted to see a TV show that takes its time being faithful to the book. I'm surprised that this seems to be doing just that. 30 episodes for the first book (which I read is 1episode/40mins for each 10 pages, not sure if that's accurate) has me pumped.

Highly recommended to those that read the book. For others, the pacing may feel slow, especially if you don't watch many Chinese dramas and are more into the TV series that focuses on action versus character development. There's gonna be filler.

Also recommend reading the books if you haven't, but so far it's very faithful to the books, up to you if you want to dive into the books first. Most likely you will want to get the books in-between Season 1 and 2 if you love the plot and sci-fi and social drama melded together.
