Just okay, but with interesting twist near the end

OK Lifetime-ish movie with Black characters. Way too many commercials, but that has nothing to do with the movie, but the station where I recorded it BETHer.

The acting was kinda bad, but there was an interesting twist near the end. The story focuses on Dimond, a trust fund Black girl who just was facing DUI charges stemming from her careless, hard partying ways. To the chagrin of her parents, her only occupation is as a social media influencer. And she has spent most of her inheritance. Then one day Dimond gets a DM from an inmate, Sadiq, who tells her he has been serving time for a crime he did not commit and would she help him. Dimond is intrigued and believes by helping Sadiq will give her something new to tweet about. And as she visits Sadiq, she falls for him. Reminiscent of one of my favorite books, asha bandele's Prisoner's Wife, but of course not nearly as good.

Also I loved seeing actors my age like Dimond's parents and her attorney played by. Michael Michele, who I thought looked familiar. I found out she was in New Jack City. Definitely my generation.
