Doubtful recovery for Severide.

He's injecting himself in the pilot, then chewing pills three at a time! You can't just quit an acute addiction like that cold turkey and not miss work as a firefighter. The diarrhea alone would prevent that. Never mind the muscular weakness. Probably needed 4-6 weeks in-patient treatment plus continued counseling and NA meetings.

Otherwise wild rescues, drama and fine acting make this a good watch. Besides, there are plenty of addiction/recovery/relapse/finai recovery stories. Better to suspend disbelief and enjoy the action!

During filming of the plane crash rescue sequence, WGN, a Chicago TV station, was apparently unaware. When WGN's traffic chopper came upon the location, they believed that an actual crash had occurred and broke into their news broadcast to cover it. This went on for several minutes before it was brought to their attention this was being staged for a television show.

Goofs
At around 36:28 minutes, when Matthew and Gabriela are talking to Boden about Rosa's age, Matthew says he heard Rosa say "me estoy convirtiendo dieciséis". This is a word by word translation of "I'm turning sixteen" and is completely ungrammatical in Spanish, as it means something along the lines of "I'm transforming sixteen". Rosa is a native Spanish speaker, she would not have said that, but rather something along the lines of A "voy a cumplir dieciséis".
