- Various scenes of naked children and babies (though this is from the cultural standpoint, not anything more explicit.) It is played for laughs on a few occasions. A male toddler's genitalia are shown in one scene.
- Two scenes of women breast-feeding infants, one with a close-up shot of the mother's bare breast and nipple. The scene is played with some humor as the woman is surprised to find herself producing milk.
Violence & Gore

- Only one scene of bloodshed is shown and that is very slight - a scrape from falling downhill. The heroine calls attention to the blood and bandages it.
- A man falls down a hill, but is revealed to be OK.
- Scrapes and slight bruises from rough-horsing/playing.
- Some arrows are shot at people but they do not hit anyone.

- Towards the end the tone of the film becomes quite sad and downbeat.
- The ending can definitely upset any age of audience.

- A person (The emperor) approaches the main character, grabs her in a seductive manner, tells her that she will be one of his girls and makes it clear he means to abduct her. She is startled and is very frightened

- A person falls down on his back. It's revealed that he died shortly afterward.
- A young man is beaten including punches to the head and chest. He is revealed to be OK later but this is very unclear at the beginning (the scene ends with him face down in a puddle of rain.)
