Home Alone, but with dogs

I watched this movie this evening via the free IMDb TV app on Roku. Whilst both of my dogs loved it and barked like crazy, it reminded me of the Home Alone movies and of culture shock when you take someone out of their normal peddy buse wah environment and introduce them to something entirely different.

So bad it's good.

Take a silly, juvenile, utterly cliche script, add some really bad acting, Throw in poorly voiced dogs. Add the worst acted bad guys you could never even have imagined and you'll have a grip on this film. That being said, there is no foul language, no gratuitous sex, nudity or violence. Which is surprisingly refreshing. It is clearly a low budget film and the direction is amateurish at best. But it is family watchable and those kinds of movies are few. The kids will like the dogs.

Very poor copy of so many other films.

I gave it 3 because of the dogs and the step sister who all played their parts well. The problem with this film is they aren't in it enough. The 2 bungling burglars ( where have we seen that before ) are totally unfunny even with slapstick. When the dogs made their entrance I thought this could be good comedy. I was hoping the film would centre around them, but no, the most unfunny human characters took over, it's a shame, could have been good.

Cringy and hard to watch

This movie was incredibly hard to watch. Even my kid didn't like it, so we had to turn it off. Poorly made knock off of other movies, so many awkward scenes with poorly drawn out jokes. Not worth watching.

A disappointment for someone who loves dogs.

So, I'm a dog lover. I thought this would be a cute dog movie but boy I was wrong. The acting was pretty good, but the humor was poor (just relied on crap jokes and fart jokes) and it used this "kill off the mom before the events of the movie" cliche that I AM REALLY SICK OF.

I know it wasn't made for people 12 and up, but neither were better movies like "Coco" and "All Dogs Go To Heaven".

The plot and script were predictable and then it got worse

I rented the movie because I was curious about the Belgium Malinois. So disappointed. I own a Malinois. These dogs live Mad-Eye Moody's constant vigilance mantra. Strangers are noticed, investigated and **not** licked. A Golden Retriever would have made the Meatball character more believable. The poor casting took me right out of this very weak story. The only surprise is that this got made at all. I did appreciate the setting; they shot the movie in a truly cold location as revealed by the ability to see the characters' breaths when they were outside and the sound of snow crunching when walked on. I wouldn't waste your time and money.

I CANNOT SAY IN WORDS HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS MOVIE AT THE MERE THOUGHT OF IT I AM OVERCOME WITH EMOTION THIS MOVIE IS A CLASSIC OF MODERN CINEMA I CRY EVERY TIME I WATCH IT WHICH IS EVERY SECOND OF EVERY DAY I AM A STAY AT HOME HAMSTER THERAPIST AND I KEEP THIS MOVIE ON IN THE BACKGROUND AT ALL TIMES EVERY TIME MEATBALL FARTS AND SAYS SOMETHING FUNNY ABOUT CHILI I LAUGH SO HARD THAT I HAVE AN ASTHMA ATTACK AND AT THE END OF IT EVERY TIME I WEEP AND SOB WITH A DEEP AFFECTION FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL MOVIE I WISH I COULD MEET THE DIRECTOR AND ALL THE STARS AND MAYBE THEYD WANNA BE MY FRIENDS THIS MOVIE IS SO GOOD ITS EVEN BETTER THAN TOOTH FAIRY (2010) WITH DWAYNE JOHNSON AND THAT IS SAYING SOMETHING

very funny

This is so funny and will appeal to young and old the characters were well cast and the film well directed. But the true star's of this Home Alone with dog's are the canine's who make the film so watchable.

mostly good, but a little to desire

So we can go on and on about how amazing this movie was. The acting is PERFECT, and so is the directing and writing and cinematropghy and casting-- just- perfect! But i do unfortunaklly have one problem... its that i wasnt in this movie! How come i couldnt be meatball?? I was the one that they told couldve been casted. And not to throw shade on anybidy but that lady said i would "definitley be getting the role" and that "theyll email me soon" but guerss what? 7 years later. And im STILL waiting for that email... or, at least, i WAS. I was scrolling through the list of americas greatest movies and saw this gem, i thought itd bve fun to watch. However, though it was a perfect movie, i relized that this was the very movie that THEY TOLD ME i would be cast for. Disguisting buisness practices and horrible filmmaskers and horrendous casting directors, but, overall good movie.

It reminds me of a dog version of home alone. The step brother of the girl loved space. The girls mother used to a actress. There was a thief in the movie who wanted to get the gem that they sandrina had. The thief only want it becuse she was no longer acting. The dogs were great. The girl was a spoiler brat a little bit. The thief tried to make the kid look bad. The dogs tried and saved the day. The cop also thought the boy blow up a mail box and was a trouble maker even know he has knew him for years before the step sister and mother moved there. I loved the plot, storyline, character, and characters development were all really good. Crystal really loved the meditation and healthy food. The movie is really good.
